Gameplay
New players begin in a secluded area populated only by other beginners, Tutorial Island. They are led on a set path where they learn most of the non-member skills needed to succeed in RuneScape. After the tutorial, players have access to tutors located in the towns they explore. These non-player characters, or NPCs, can replace some basic equipment items if necessary and can give players appropriate information about their respective skills.

Sound
RuneScape has music, sound effects, and ambient noises throughout Gielinor. The music is designed to define the underlying cultures of the various locations around Gielinor. Sound effects, such as the “sploosh” heard when a lobster trap is submerged in water, are heard as players train their skills. Ambient noises, such as the cry of seagulls flying over the ocean, occur in logical places. As different locations are visited by the player, new music for that area is unlocked and can be played back later. Graphics

The prayer and hitpoints bonuses only last one minute because of the advantage a player would have in combat.

The skills available for all players are Attack, Defence, Strength, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic, Prayer, Mining, Smithing, Fishing, Cooking, Firemaking, Woodcutting, Crafting and Runecrafting. The additional skills available only for members are Agility, Herblore, Thieving, Fletching, Slayer, Farming, Construction, Hunter, and Summoning. The new summoning skill allows players to summon a monster to fight for them and help them in non-combat related skills.

Once I get my membership back, I’m going to have to do a lot of shopping. Luckily, one of my best friends has given me 7 million gp (though in retrospect, I probably gave him a lot more in the past). Yes. 7 million gp, all for me to get back onto my feet. Although 7 million gp does sound like quite a lot of cash, I’d definitely have a lot more had I not retired from Runescape for a year. However, it’ll be more than enough to give me a headstart on what I need.

I have everything I need to get back on my feet, such as a Rune Hatchet and knife. Really, that’s all I’m going to need because I can already craft my own Nature Runes and pick my own Flax (though I’ll probably pick 100, alch those and end up with 100k, and just buy all the flax and strings I need).

But since I have the money… I might as well make things easier on myself. I plan on purchasing the following:

-Several Glory Amulets (For nat running)
-Rune Pick Axe (For mining the minerals and gems I need)
-Full Rune with Dragon Scimitar or Abyssal Whip (For self defence)

However, unless last summer where I could spend all day on Runescape, I recently found a summer job that seems to take up a lot of time and is very stressful on my behalf. However, I don’t think it should bother me too much, so hopefully I’ll be able to play and write at the same time.

One of the better ways to make money and get mage exp at the same time is collecting Snape Grass. There are multiple areas in Runescape to obtain this item but Waterbirth is one of the fastest with the most spawns and respawn rate.
[1]Equip your water staff, amulet of glory, Duel ring, and weight reducing gear.
[2]Cast your Teleport to Waterbirth spell.
[3]Run to the south-west spawn point
[4]Gather the snape grass as it spawns.
[5]Teleport back to Edgeville, bank and repeat.You can use rings of dueling here also.

Hint.
Use the level 73 Waterbirth group teleport spell and you and up to 2 other friends can gather snape grass at the same time. It doesn’t even require more runes as long as you are using a water staff.

3.2 [Mort Myre Fungi]

Stats/Items Required:

- 200 Law runes } Used for building a Canifis portal in your house;

Now to explain. You will be picking Mort Myre Fungi.
The higher your prayer the better, this is because in the swamp your prayer will drain 1-3 points every time you cast bloom.
The construction is for teleporting to your house and praying at your alter, then going through the Canifis teleport alter (Its name Kharill or something).

-Anywho-

Start by getting the required stats. Construction you get get up most easily by cutting regular logs and going to the sawmill. You will want to move onto oak logs as soon as you can because regular planks uses nails. However as this is not a construction guide I will not tell you what to make ect.

Prayer is gotten up most efficiently by using someones Gilded Alter. You get 252xp per dragon bone used there, and level 60 is at 273,742 xp. So just minus your prayer xp from 273,742 and divide the answer by 252. That will give you however many bones that you need for 60 prayer.
Anyone with a gilded alter will tell you how to do it because it’s quite simple.

The next thing to do is to build an oak (or higher if you have the level) alter, and a Kharill/Canifis teleport portal. This is where you need the 200 laws and 200 blood runes.

OK- If you have all that stuff then we can get on with the main part of the guide!

Basically you start in Canifis bank. Only bring house teleport runes and your silver sickle, and make sure you have full prayer points! Follow the path as shown on the map, down to the gate of the Mort Myre Swamp. Enter. Stand beside two logs (because then you have the chance of getting two fungi in one bloom), and cast bloom (by right clicking the sickle and clicking ‘operate’, as shown in the picture). Pick up the fungi and repeat this process of casting bloom and picking up the fungi.
Once you either run out of prayer points, or have a full inventory, then teleport to your house and charge your prayer. Use the portal to go back to Canifis and bank your fungi. Repeat this process as many times as desired.

Now, here’s the best part about doing this. Mort Myre Fungi sells for 1k each!
It takes about 3-4 minutes per trip depending on how fast you do it, But I worked it out to be around 400k an hour.

White berries are a second that are not bought as commonly as most but people do buy them and usually in very large numbers.

Follow the Red path from edgeville, make a wakka when you reach the canoe tree.
Run North following the red path until you reach the berries.
After you have enough berries follow the blue path and teleport when you reach level 30 wilderness.

The spots where the people are standing are the spawn points.

3.32 [Elven lands]
This way can be much faster and less dangerous than the wilderness way if you have the stats and quests done.

Follow the red path to get to the berry spawn. The green circles are traps.
After you have enough berries teleport with your elf crystal and follow the blue path to the bank

4.0 [Unid Herbs]
In this section I will go over different ways to gather unid herbs or herbs that a play does not identify so as to get the same price for all sold..

4.1 [Taverly Dungeon Chaos Druids]
Stats/Items required.
• Rune or better weapon.
• Mithril or better armour.
Stats/Items suggested.
• Some food if your a lower level.
• Weight reducing gear.
• Falador Teleport
• Games Necklace

Follow the Red line if you have Level 5+ and are coming from Falador.
Follow the Blue line if you cant use the agility shortcut and are coming from Falador.
Follow the green line if you are using games necklaces.

Climb down the ladder and follow the Red or Blue line to the Chaos druids.

I will only mention what to do once you arrive once as its the same for all three places
Kill the chaos druids picking up the herbs they drop.
Once your inventory is full teleport out, bank and repeat.

4.2 [Edgeville dungeon Chaos Druids]
Please not that this method holds the low risk of pker’s. If your are properly prepared you should be able to evade them but know that you enter the wilderness at your own risk.

• Ancient mage Edgeville Teleport.

This method is much safer than edgeville dungeon but at the cost of many less druids and it can get crowded with more than one person killing druids.

Follow the red line from bank if you have Level 33 Agility.

Once your inventory is full retrace your steps and bank.

Many of you will walk into a bank and hear some person shout out “selling 100k swordies!!!!”. You probably are thinking how in the world did he catch that many?! Well, that is what you are about to learn.

First, we will start with the basics:
Shrimp. You will have your net as soon as you are off Tutorial Island. The best thing to do, is find a netting place and begin fishing. The best place to fish is at Draynor, which is west of the Lumbridge Castle. There is a bank close by, so fish, and bank. You may want to make a fire and cook the fish, because cooked fish will get you more money. Keep fishing up the ranks. After level 5, move on to Sardines, at 10, Herring, and so on and so forth. If you are a member, level 16 is when it becomes easy. At this point, head on over to Catherby and begin fishing for Mackerel. Remember ALWAYS bank your fish. If you leave them in your inventory, you will soon run out of space.

Now, once you are fishing at level 40, you will be able to fish for lobsters. They are great money. Sell them anywhere for 50-100gp each. As I stated before, Cooked are always faster sellers. Therefore, you might want to have 40 cooking along with the fishing. Although quite a few of your fish will burn, the more you fish, cook, and bank, the less that will be burned. The best place for the fish, cook, and bank method is in Catherby. It has almost every type of fishing available. Great for those who are trying to level up.

When you are ready for Swordfish, you must note that Swordfish are not going to be fast paced at all, they will take longer to catch. They are great for the HP and great GP as well. (150-200 GP) Trust me, its worth the time and frustration when you sell the first bunch. 100 swordies at 200 GP each is quite a bit of change. 100 swordfish does not seem like a lot, but you will see why they are worth so much, when you get to the correct level, and begin to fish and cook it, you will see why.

For non-members, you have to go to Karamja to fish for Lobby’s and Swordies. Obviously, this is a pain and costs quite a bit to go back and fourth banking it. So, it is best to be a member at this point. Unless you are only there to raise your fishing level. You can get to Karamja at the Port Sarim Dock. Once you are there, follow the path, and you will come to a dock. Then go west and you will find a different dock. Prepare to fish.

Now, you have a lot of fish. You could always teleport to Lumby, but that takes quite a long time to do, and it’s all about fast money-making. So the best thing to do, is pay 5 USD a month and become a member. Catherby is perfect for fishing.

The best money is in sharks (1k each). Members only, so again fishing is better if you are a member, as is everything else.

Now, just go into a bank and sell them.
