Runescape Training

Training in Runescape can mean either gaining higher combat levels, or gaining higher skill levels.

Training in combat: If you want the maximum experience, you want to kill a monster with higher Health Points that will not hit you as often. This way, you can hit them as much as possible without using a bunch of expensive food. Just because a monster gives nice items, does not mean it is going to give great experience. If you are going to train your combat, items have no play. Save up your food before you begin to train, that way you do not have to break your killing spree and go off to fish or buy food.

It makes it go a whole lot smoother if you have more food in the bank than you think you will need. Training against a monster that is aggressive and will attack a person of your level, without another thought, is very helpful because you will not have to click on another monster over and over to attack it. Different weapons will do different damage to different monsters so choose your weapon wisely. Remember this, while a Ruby Amulet might make you hit harder, it does not make you hit faster.

Try using a diamond or dragon amulet even tough they are quite expensive. Try to choose a monster that is not too strong for you. Dragons usually have a very high defense, which means they are not good for experience. The highest level a monster should be is around the same as your combat level, but not higher. That will only increase the time that you will fight them and you will not get as much experience. Even more so, it will lower your food supply very quickly

Runescape party hats are very expensive and rare. There is only so many out there. As each day goes on, more and more are lost. There is only two ways of getting a party hat. One way is to buy one from another player. The other, which is very unlikely, is to pick it up after someone has died wearing it or died with it in his or her inventory. (although without a skull above their head it is even more unlikely.

The first of April’s updates seems to attract abbreviations: F2P, PvP, OMG - all of these could be used to describe Fist of Guthix, our next combat minigame. We could say that this will be a safe, single-way, Wilderness-based game available to both free players and members, but that would ignore some important details. Attack strategies, defensive tactics, well-timed escapes: Fist of Guthix will employ all of these to create a memorable combat minigame.

There is a massive range of rewards to win for playing Fist of Guthix, so we’ll give you a wee teaser. The rune berserker shield, like most of Fist of Guthix’s rewards, degrades with use, but it also offers you some hefty defence bonuses and a Strength boost; the battle robe set will sometimes pay for mind, chaos, death or blood runes that you use when casting a combat spell; and the Runecrafting gloves will double the experience you gain from crafting runes of the glove’s type!

Talking of rewards, where could you possibly find a top hat, animal mask, adamant cane and black crossbow? It could only be the Treasure Trails, and this month will bring our next installment. Among the new weapons, clothes and hats will be some brain-twisting new clues to untangle, ranging across the medium and hard difficulties.

It is at this point in the month that the skies will darken, a fog will descend and a bloodcurdling scream will echo out. What could bring on this strange and eerie change? Ah, it must be the fourth in our Myreque quest series: Legacy of Seergaze! With no help forthcoming from Misthalin and vampyres continuing to collect their scarlet tithes, the Myreque have been calling on mercenaries to aid their cause. Meanwhile, deep in Paterdomus, Drezel has found something strange that could shed light on Morytania’s gloomy past…

Not so gloomy are the graphical improvements to the Morytania entrance area and the icefiends of RuneScape. Expect Paterdomus temple and its grounds to become more grand and foreboding, and the icefiends a sight more icy and fiendish.

A nod must be given to the website updates. The Grand Exchange Database will be released this month, having had its image issues resolved, displaying graphs and statistics of Grand Exchange market prices. There’s also a Summoning guaranteed content poll, the latest Players’ Gallery and the Postbag from the Hedge.

To date, there have been a lot of Runescape clans that have been formed, and among the needs for a Runescape clan to be successful is that of numbers with regards to players affiliated with them. While there are people who would search for good Runescape clans to join in, a simple search query on Runescape or Runescape clans would return quite a number of groups looking for members who would join their fraternity.

In such cases, the dilemma that faces most people would be on how to properly evaluate the right Runescape clan to join. For one, Runescape players will certainly be geared more on clans that have large numbers, since it is usually automatic to note that smaller clans may eventually be dissolved or disband. Second, the important thing to note is the validity with regards to player members who may be just conning people into joining their group for a purpose. Organizing Runescape clans or groups is not an easy task, hence the more harder it is to recruit players into the order since not all people will be able to see each other that easily in this wide world of Runescape.

Authentication and validity of the Runescape clans formed are hard to determine. Members can be considered fictitious in a way and a player may end up joining a wrong group instead of the readily established ones that are spread all over the Runescape world. To date, there are really no dominantly known clans or guilds to which players can join. One reason for this is perhaps most players are busy playing and exploring the world of Runescape, a wide area that may take up the time for now rather than plan and become affiliated with certain groups for security and identity.

For the beginners, affiliations with such Runescape clans cannot be immediately appreciated. The fact that once a player logs on, the Runescape population is quite severe that finding co-members in a clan is like looking for a needle in a haystack. This is how populated and somewhat congested Runescape has become and it is not hard to figure out why this has become such. With online gaming becoming more and more demanded by people who use the web, Runescape has become among the top online games that people have chosen above the rest.

Such a choice is perhaps due to the fact that Runescape has become a virtual world timed in the medieval years where the struggle for power is one of the essential goals of most players. It is not merely about dominance of slayers and magicians, but also a matter of becoming resourceful and wise towards the basic needs that a Runescape player would need to consider to enjoy the game as a whole.

Runescape quests are one of the more diligent activities that players can participate in, other than the normal course of the game and exploring. Some would have apprehensions taking on these quests, not having the patience to take a while and think of what the actual objectives and items that are being asked, or what task to complete for the entire ordeal.

Runescape quests once interacted with the assigned NPC’s have a very detailed question and answer interface. It covers all the necessary and possible areas for consideration, making the whole interactive thing user-friendly and informative for the benefit of players who may be having trouble understanding the entire scenario. For example, a specific item that is being asked will have underlying question that would be generated as each screen of the conversation is being done. This covers all the necessary things in mind that a player may not understand. This also includes out of topic questions, a sort of humor in a way where a player who asks nonsense questions that may not even pertain to the entire quest.

User-friendliness, especially for first time players is something important. For one, not all people would easily understand how the transition of interacting and understanding the task at hand should be carried out must be done. Another thing is the fact that the quests broaden the possible questions to be asked. This eliminates the need for game administrators to have to interfere and answer queries since the NPC’s are programmed for a generalized background on the matter already.

The general expectations of game administrators with regards to the possible questions to be asked by Runescape players are a conservative approach. While some Runescape players may find it a waste of time, getting detailed information and leaving room for actually finding the items and completing the quests is all that was left uncovered. Such a method is a more alluring way of providing everything that is needed in one sitting, hence one players participate in the quests, all that is left is to properly locate the place where most of the items and special characters in the game can be found.

Again, these quests and mini-games that Runescape offers not only aim to provide more things to do, but to lessen the number of cheaters that have been known to be present in the game. Being kept busy by such activities will render a player preoccupied with such activities, thus making him focus on completing the quests rather than looking for probable Runescape cheats, codes or hacks for the game. With this in mind, such ideas would really keep players busy and eventually leave players wanting to be tagged successful Runescape quest participants rather than Runescape cheaters.

It is only normal for people to want to see the much celebrated monsters that Runescape boasts of, but surely, they will be no easy pickings as far as battling them and trying to conquer them. This is why that even in Runescape guides and tips, it would be best to try and level-up first before deciding to go on actual combat with higher leveled NPC’s that the Runescape world has in store for all players.

This is one reason that upon entry of the real world after the Runescape Tutorial Island, the need to focus on leveling up in most of the skills is encouraged. Impatience is the usual enemy for most Runescape players when it comes to actually trying to bring up their skills in the right level before they go out into the Runescape wilderness and encounters far more high leveled NPC’s. Such can be understood in actual combat when the actual hits and health levels diminish as fighting begins.

A gradual increase in the degree of difficulty and damage to be done by most Runescape NPC’s in the game should be expected. The wilderness offers a wide array of surprises and encounters with different types of monsters, both the mutant kind and the monster type of characters have different levels of difficulty. It is only normal to experience such, considering that to get towards the more interesting places, one has to learn how to survive and navigate properly the hidden places that only the curious and daring Runescape players would consider exploring.

A Runescape player is the only person who can assess if he is ready to take on the challenge or retreat for another day once melees and encounters are on the brink. Some would boldly make moves of pushing forward with their battle plans, prepared for such cases such as storing food to regenerate their health bars and continue battling the more powerful monsters.

But in cases where monsters may be more powerful than the usual giant rats or goblins that they see in the initial stages, decision-making on whether to go forth or live another day should be fairly considered. A showing of courage and strength may be impressive, but falling to these monsters because of lack of skills and level may prove to be costly, especially for players that may eventually lose some of their prized items should they die in combat.

Minds and strategic approaches should also be considered beforehand. The best logistics come from well-planned attacks and not from all out combat where chances are Runescape warriors will fall. Besides, it is not worth the effort if a warrior, magician or archer would just go down without a decent fight for his journey into the Runescape world.

Most Runescape players may be wondering, what is that little thing at the upper right corner where icons and some trees over a green area are? Well, this is the Runescape client mini map that helps people see where they are exactly. The icons shown stand for something to identify the place. Like bows would represent archery equipment such as bow and arrows, bank icons are where a player can deposit his collected items in the game and so on. They are guides to which a player can check out at any time during the game. Actually a player can use the mini map in the Runescape client as his point of destination compass. He can simply right click and wait for a red flag to appear. The red flag represents where the player is going in the area.

A Runescape player can use up to a 360-degree angle to visualize and see where he can go. This helps especially for Runescape players who are cautious of the possible dangers that the game has in front or behind them. With so much players and NPC’s lurking around, a player can never be too careful since attacks of any sort may occur at any point of the game.

Navigating through the mini map console may be better, although most Runescape players would prefer to have one that would be bigger. While some would not care, a bigger view would help identify the icons better, especially those with poor eyesight and who would want a bigger coverage of the area they are in. Also, for the people who are not used to a rotating angle view, tendency is that they will eventually become dizzy and may take a breather or worse, quit playing. These are only some of the scenarios in the game and mostly depend on the type of players who patronize and get hooked on Runescape.

Prior to log in, a player would find different kinds of worlds to play in. There are two actually, one in the member’s world and the other on the free server world. The member’s world would naturally be for the ones who pay the monthly fee of $5.00 to enjoy the game more completely without restrictions. Of the two, expect the free servers to be packed with new players or people who are content by merely living in the freebie world.

$5.00 is not much and a good rate for subscription to a good game as Runescape. But for some, just like in anything, value for their money is a consideration and for an online game, it would usually carry with it free membership. But let us face it, if people want a well-maintained server, certain fees such as maintenance and hosting expense need to be settled, and with minimum subscription fees as this will go a long way.
