Runescape Items – Rares, Duplicators & Free Runescape Items
Runescape is a simple and free game played by millions of people and one of the most enjoyable parts of it is collecting all the Runescape items that are available. There are literally thousands upon thousands of items to collect in Runescape. Some are obviously more valuable, rare and prized than others. There are even items that no longer are able to be created which has created a whole industry of specific Runescape item trading in itself. This is the Runescape rare item market consisting of things like party hats, santa hats, holloween masks plus a few other items that are so sort after that it costs millions of Runescape gold to just buy one of these items.

Runescape Rare Items – Holiday Drops
These Runescape rare items, often referred to as holiday drops, were a feature of Runescape back when the game was in its first couple of years. Essentially Jagex had items spawn in different locations all around Runescape on certain holidays, namely Christmas, Easter and Halloween and these free holiday item drops were meant to be a celebration of the event, and well these yearly events only happened once a year so these particular Runescape items were only able to be collected on one specific day of the year and it didn’t take long before people realized that while demand for these items was increasing but the supply was always decreasing as less and less of these items could be found on the market. This of course forced the prices up to the point where they are now, at millions of Runescape gold to buy just one of these items, and with every passing month the price of such Runescape items just continues to climb.

Runescape Item Duplicator
The only time that the prices of these particular Runescape rare items have ever really crashed was when someone managed to create a Runescape item duplicator. Of course they used this item duplicator to start duplicating Runescape items, and not just any Runescape items, the Runescape rare items, mainly pink party hats which were at the time worth many, many millions of Runescape gold. Obviously Jagex and the Runescape market realized that there was a sudden influx of party hats for sale on the market and as such they found out how players were duplicating Runescape items and removed the glitch from the game. The damage however was already done, the Runescape rare item market had already crashed and with knowledge that it was possible to create a Runescape

Special Attractions
Fishing spots
There are shrimp, sardine, herring, anchovies, mackerel, cod, tuna, lobster, bass, swordfish, and shark in the Catherby fishing area. It is quite popular because it’s only five seconds away from a range, and ten seconds away from a bank.

Arhein’s Boat
Stowing away on this boat is the only way to gain access to Keep Le Faye, which is south-east of Catherby. To board this boat you must ‘Hide’ in the crate behind the Candle shop.

Farming Patches

There are two different farming areas in Catherby. The first is the allotment, which contains the flower patch, herb patch, and a patch to plant fruit and vegetables. This area, north of the bank, also has a farming store, which sells items required to farm with. The second area contains a fruit tree patch, where you can obviously grow your fruit trees – located near the fishing spots.

White Wolf Mountain
If you haven’t completed the Fishing Contest quest, you will need to navigate your way through these mountains to get to Taverley. Be wary whilst traveling through this icy terrain, as there are Wolves (level 29), White Wolves (level 38), and Big wolf (level 73), waiting to hunt down passers-by. Ice Giants (level 49), and Ice Warriors (level 53), also find their home in the mountain.

Charter Ships
Certain ships at ports throughout RuneScape now have the ability to charter you to a number of locations. The sailers also stock certain items that they’ve picked up along their travels throughout RuneScape that you are able to buy. The Catherby charter ship departs at the Catherby pier near the bank, to Brimhaven (480gp), Karamja (480gp), Mos Le Harmless (625gp), Port Khazard (1,600gp), Port Phasmatys (3,500gp), Port Sarim (1,000gp), Shipyard (1,600gp), Tyras Camp (3,200gp). To halve the cost of these charter ships, wear a ring of charos (a)

Quests
Fishing Contest: Just north-east of Catherby, is the quest’s start and end point. Upon completion of the quest, you will be able to use the passage under White Wolf Mountain, which leads to Taverley.

Dyes for Capes and other Applications
If you want to dye your cape or get some dyes for a quest, visit Aggie the Witch. She will make you dyes with different ingredients:

Yellow dye: Two Onions and 5gp.
Red dye: Three Redberries and 5gp.
Blue dye: Two Woad leaves and 5gp.
Green dye: Mix yellow dye with blue
Orange dye: Mix yellow dye with red
Purple dye: Mix red dye with blue
To dye a cape, use your bottle of dye on a cape of any color. You can get capes by killing the Highwaymen who wander on the path going from Lumbridge to Port Sarim, or buy them in the Champions’ Guild, or Varrock clothes store.

Woodcutting
Draynor Village is commonly referred to as the best woodcutting spot in F2P. South-west of the bank there are a bunch of Willow Trees which are great for burning, or collecting in your bank.

Fishing Spots
This is pretty much the only place for level one fishers, and I would recommend training here until about level 25. The reason being is that it’s safe, there is a bank nearby, and there are plenty of fishing spots.

Wizards’ Tower
The Wizards’ Tower is a good spot to train magic, with a lesser demon in a cage on the top floor. Within the tower, members can buy Splitbark armour.

The Jail
The jail is a great low-level combat training area. Here, you can three-item, and continue training on the jail guards until you die, then run back from Lumbridge and continue on, without losing anything.

The Sewers
The sewers are used as part of the Desert Treasure quest. There are many zombies down here to train on, as well as an anvil for smithers to use. The dungeon has 2 entrances, one near Diango’s house and the other near the Jail.

entrana

Entrana is an island off the west coast of Asgarnia run by Saradominist monks. It is a very useful island for both Crafting, glass making in particularly, and Herblore, and is also used in some important quests. Entrana is only accessible by catching a boat from Port Sarim. The trip is free, but it is against Saradomin’s will to take any weapons or armour on to the island to “keep the peace.” There are, however, four ways to leave Entrana: take the ship back to Port Sarim, teleport, take a hot air balloon, or take the dungeon exit into the wilderness.

Special Attractions
Law altar
Entrana contains the law rune altar, used to make law runes (with 54 Runecrafting). The quickest way to do this is to use glory amulets to teleport to Draynor Village, and walk back.

Farming
There is a hops spot here, south of the Herblore shop, watched by Francis. In addition, there is a water source nearby so if your watering cans are running dry, you can refill them here. Even if the fountain wasn’t here, you can use your bucket on the well and then on the watering can.

Entrana dungeon

The Entrana dungeon is used predominantly in the Lost City quest, to chop the Dramen branch, but has other redeeming qualities. It contains one of the only non-wilderness locations of greater demons, and it is the location of the Dramen tree. When you enter the caves, your prayer is drained to level 3 due to the presence of the evil god Zamorak. Also, the dungeon is only accessible from Entrana, and you cannot bring weapons or armour into the dungeon. This can be worked around by bringing fletching materials, leathers, needle, and thread to make ranging armour. The only way to get a hatchet for the tree is to get them as a drop from killing zombies.

Vials and seaweed
Entrana is one of the best-kept secrets in RuneScape when it comes to obtaining vials. The Herblore shop stocks up to 50 vials, and there is a fountain right outside the shop. There are also two vial spawns in the same area. If you need seaweed, Entrana has a large seaweed spawn located north-west of the Zamorak dungeon.

Healing Monks
If, for some reason, you are hurt on Entrana, the monks in the monastery will heal a few hit points.

Special Attractions
Yak Pen
The Yak Pen, has level 22 yaks residing in it. They drop Yak Meat and Yak Hair (which can be woven). The more yaks you kill the more they get agressive (regardless of your level).

Woodcutting Stump
The woodcutting stump can be used to split your arctic pine logs and make Freminnik shields.

Many Mines
A very special attraction of the Fremennik Isles is that it is one of the very few homes of a Fremennik Isles Rune Mine which can be accessed upon completion of The Fremennik Isles quest. There are also various other mines scattered throughout the isles, and in particular the Jatizso Dungeon Mine in Jatizso. The mines contain plenty of tin, coal, mithril and adamant ore. But be wary – dangerously aggressive ice trolls dwell near the mines.

Fishing
The fishing spots on Jatizso’s dock and on the island itself are all very close to the bank and are good for training. The spots there have big net fishing, both kinds of harpoon fishing, and lobster fishing.

isafdar and lletya

Lletya is the first Elf-based metropolis in RuneScape. This small Elven village is currently the only available Tirannwn teleport. Isafdar is home to the Tyras Guard, and Lord Iorwerth’s Elven troops. Isafdar is one of the few locations where white berries spawn; two level three clues can be dug up by the small lakes here as well; and a swamp of poison waste obscures the southern part of the region. Lletya also contains a training area for 85+ thieves. Tirannwn’s scenery is picturesque, and calm. Enjoy it while you’re there.

Special Attractions
Mines
The limestone mine in Isafdar is primarily for the Regicide Quest. It’s also a great place to collect limestone for Construction.
There is another mine, near a “pass sticks” trap, which is located east of the Elf tracker. There are four adamant rocks here.

Tyras Camp
The Tyras camp is located west of the Elf tracker, in Isafdar. The camp contains a small furnace which you put the limestone in to get quicklime. Here, you can also buy halberds from the Quartermaster’s store. The level 110 Tyras Guard, are also good range training if you can find a suitable position.

Elf Camp
The Elf camp is located north of the Elf tracker. The camp contains two everlasting fires, a loom for spinning your balls of wool into a fuse, as well as quite a few fishing spots. There are three shark and big net fishing spots, located north-west of the camp. There are also three fly-fishing spots, located south-east of the camp. Further east of the Elf Camp, is the entrance to Prifddinas, which is currently inaccessible, and continuing east, is another fishing spot, and the limestone mine. Within the Elf camp, are level 108, and 90 Elf Warriors. The level 108’s use a crystal pike to attack, and hit a maximum of 10, whilst the level 90’s use range, and also hit a maximum of 10.

How to Get to Lletya

To first gain access to Lletya, you must have started the Mourning’s Ends Part I quest. Speak with Eluned, who will tell you of Arianwyn’s crisis; she will ask you to help her. Upon agreeing to help Arianwyn, you will be teleported into Lletya, another elf-run village. Once you arrive in Lletya, Eluned will give you a teleport crystal, which she can recharge after it’s been used. These crystals are also dropped by the elves that live in the village, so stock up on a few, and take them to Eluned (either by the magic trees, or by the lake near the Tyras camp) to recharge them. It costs 750gp for the first recharge.

These teleport crystals are especially useful in the collection of whiteberries that spawn near Isafdar. The spawn rate is very fast (~5 seconds), so one full load doesn’t take long – just teleport to Lletya and bank there once you’re full; and repeat.

Magic Trees
East of the Elf tracker, and south of the adamant mine is a set of three magic trees (Picture).

Arandar Pass
Arandar pass is located east of Tirannwn. This is the easy way in and out of the Tirannwn region, rather than going through The Underground Pass. The passage leads to the big gates, which are only accessible upon completion of the Regicide Quest.

Poison Waste
South of Isafdar, is a massive area of poison waste. This is primarily used during the Regicide quest to fill your barrel with tar. Future expansion of this area is probable.

Charter Ships
Certain ships at ports throughout RuneScape now have the ability to charter you to a number of locations. The sailers also stock certain items that they’ve picked up along their travels throughout RuneScape that you are able to buy. The Tyras camp charter ship departs to Brimhaven (8,000gp), Catherby (8,000gp), Karamja (8,000gp), Mos Le Harmless (2,000gp), Port Khazard (3,200gp), Port Phasmatys (8,000gp), Port Sarim (8,000gp), Shipyard (8,000gp). To halve the cost of these charter ships, wear a ring of charos (a)
