Making money while having fun with slayer, not a bad weekend.
If you read a lot of my blog you will realise that I never play Runescape for money, I play for fun always have done always will do, just because I don’t play for money doesn’t mean I don’t have much, I have plenty.
Just an example of playing for fun bringing more wealth.
I like Slayer! I train slayer a lot and as you may know from a previous post I am level 93, on the weekend I had a task for 12 black dragons, not a big deal I went off to Taverly dungeon and kept hopping until I found a free black dragon world.
I found one with 1 player on and there was 2 dragons so I started to kill the other one, I killed it and another player turned up and tried to steal my dragon which she did because I got a shade random from burying a bone and couldn’t attack the dragon, she was a low level and took ages trying to kill it, to get the advantage I went to the other range spot and started attacking using the mage method as soon as it appeared which I did and got my dragon back. exactly the same on the next time, after fighting I killed the dragon and have a look what I got.
A Draconic Visage the most expensive item on Runescape, I thought it was a granite plate on the floor (even thought I know they don’t drop Granite plates).
The current price for these is 25m but did I sell it? no chance I made a shield out of it, the ripoff master smither charged me 1.25m to make it.
Draconic visage Oziach was most impressed, still didn’t stop him exploiting my poor smithing level.
Oziach’s sales pitch
Oziach the ripoff merchant
“Im better than you so like it or lump it” says Oziach, ye mate Ill like to see you in the wildy!
Despite his dodgy sales technique I agreed and got a wicked looking shield.
I paid my money and got a wicked shield
The shield and its stats
I could sell the shield and have the cash, I want the shield the cash is not important cash just comes along anyway.
Not a bad start to the day if you ask me, but there is more! I had spiritual mages about 119 of these, mages are the only thing I cant go to God wars and kill the boss after so I had my proselyte and whip and started attacking them and look what I got in 1 task.
4 pairs of dragon boots in 1 assignment
These I sold for 600k each in world 2, I could have sold for more but I wanted to get rid of them.
After that I had 167 Nechryaels and look what I got.
Rune boots 3 pairs thank you very much.
These sell for 120k or there abouts if your lucky, I have 20 pairs now and not bothered about selling them.
And again nech’s and 2 more rune boots and cash from alchs
And look what I got from the clue.
Triple special win from the clue.
Rune plate body (t) and a Saradomin stole and a mage composite bow.
These are just the main drops I got this weekend about 30m I guess and a few more clues and smaller items too, all this from doing what I enjoy.
Pick a skill you enjoy and making money from it is so much better than picking flax and mindless chopping trees.
If you enjoy chopping trees chop trees for fun not for the cash the cash is a by product, if you enjoy mining do it for fun not cash and the same with all Runescape skills its a lot easier that way.
