How to get to the Mage Arena
To get to the Mage Arena either walk or run north from Edgeville through the Wilderness until about Level 52 or use the Lever in the Small Room before the Plague Area in Ardougne. You will need a Weapon (I prefer a Knife) to cut through Webs and Food in case you run into any Player Killers.
The Arena
The Mage Arena is similar to the Dueling Arena only with about nine Non-Player Character’s roaming around inside.
NOTE: These will not attack when you’re killing Kolodion. Underground, Kolodion is in Human form, a Banker and a Rune Merchant who stocks 200 each of the lower Runes which shoot up in price when you buy ten at a time.
Suggested Inventory
Runes: Chaos and Death (around 100 advised) + Elemental Runes (enough for Spells); regular Staff(s); two or three Prayer Restore Potions(4); Monks Robes; and a Sapphire or Holy Symbol Necklace (Enchanted).
Starting
Talk to Kolodion.
NOTE: Bank all your Armour and Weapons except your regular Staff(s). You must have Level 60 Magic or higher, (Wizard’s Mind Bomb doesn’t work in the Arena). After you talk a little, he will teleport you and himself to the Arena. (It is very advisable you have at least 37 Prayer and use Protect From Magic)
1st Form
Kolodion Human form – Easy to kill, About two – five average Mind Rune Spells will send him away.
2nd Form
Ogre Kolodion – Not too hard, still it’s best to turn on Protect From Magic as the small numbers he hits add up and he casts very fast. He may also cast the occasional “Flames of Zamorak” or something that can hit 14’s.
3rd Form
Large Black Spider – In his 3rd form, his Magic will get increasingly more powerful. Protect From Magic is highly suggested all the way through this Fight. You should be thinking about drinking a Prayer Potion if you haven’t done so already.
4th Form
Weirdo Ghost Thingy – Hard to describe, like the Black Knight Titan but White and weird…Pound it to death is your main objective.
5th Form
Black Demon, approximately Level 115 – Hit this thing with the best Spells you can muster. Lots of Health means you will go through maybe 20 Prayer Points if you’re around Level 60 Mage. Once you have killed this Monster you will be teleported Underground where you talk to Kolodion again.
After this talk with Kolodion you must step into the Pool where you speak to the Guardian. Go to the Statue of the God you wish to Worship and you will receive his Special Cape which adds +11 to your Magic. With the Cape on go back to the Guardian who will give you the Staff of the God you just chose. You can also buy the other two Staffs for 80,000 a piece. To get the other Capes you have to Drop your original Cape and Pray to a different Monument.
I suggest Zamorak Robes if you Player Kill alone, less Magic = less Magic Resistance. Guthix Robes if you Player Kill with a team, because they lower your Opponents Defense. Saradomin Robes are good in either case because they drain Prayer which means less time for your Opponent to use Protect From Magic, and a greater chance of your opponent not being able to use Protect Items at the end.
To use the God Spells outside of the Arena you must Practice them inside 100 times to fully complete the Training with that Spell. If you go inside the Arena again the Battle Mages will attack you. Be sure you wear your Special Cape and the Mage which belongs to your god will not attack.
Remember you can also change which Cape you have incase you decide you don’t like that one or you want to charge another Spell. To do this, just drop your Cape (it will vanish) then go worship another Statue and you will receive that Cape. You can do this as often as you want.

Going on a Trawler Trip is an excellent way to spend time if you’re bored or just want some random fish. The Fishing Trawler can be played either with a group of friends, or just a single person, but it’s usually more fun playing with multiple people. This is a very difficult mini-game, so you just need to be patient and you may need some anger management after.
——————————————————————————–
Getting Started
To first begin a Trawler Trip, you can speak to Murphy located in Port Khazard near the docks. Port Khazard can be found just southeast of Ardougne, and south of the Necromancer Tower. But before you begin, you should probably organize a team of several people to come with you (if you want). It can be much more fun, and you’ll have a greater chance of successfully completing the trip.
Of course, you can play the game on your own too, but you’ll have the responsibility of repairing the Trawler by yourself, and it is often times more difficult to do. After you have a team ready, you’ll need some supplies.
——————————————————————————–
Supplies
You will need supplies before you even begin thinking about going on a Trawler Trip. All of the supplies are sold in the General Stores in Port Khazard, but at a very high price.
Khazard General Store
Picture Item Cost
Swamp Paste 42
Rope 25
Bailing Bucket 14
Swamp Paste – used to repair holes in the ship that leak water and eventually sink it. Swamp Paste is made of Swamp Tar mixed with Flour and cooked on an open fire (a range will not work). Swamp Tar is found in Lumbridge Swamp in numerous quantities. I suggest that you take some Swamp Tar and bring it to the Lost City, where you can pick wheat and grind it quickly. Then just cut trees from near the Otherworldly Beings, light a fire and cook the tar. Each person should bring about 100 of these with them.
Rope – used to repair the net. Without the net, there is not chance to catch fish. Unless you want to pay insanely high prices, I suggest you make it by shearing Sheep in Lumbridge, spin the wool into balls of Wool by using them with the Spinning wheel upstairs in the castle, and then take them to Ned in Draynor Village to be made into Rope for free. About 20 Ropes per person should be fine.
Bailing Bucket – used for bailing any water in the ship back into the ocean. This is very helpful if there is a lot of water in the ship. The only way to get a Bailing Bucket is to buy one from the General Store in Port Khazard.
——————————————————————————–
Playing the Game
Once you talk to Murphy about going on a Trawler Trip, just board his nearby boat by crossing the gangplank and waiting inside. You’ll only have 1 minute to get your team inside, in which time the boat will leave the port and travel southeast to the fishing spot.
Soon after the boat leaves the port, you’ll encounter problems with the boat, including leaky holes and a faulty sail, which often snaps. You need to keep the boat afloat for around 12 minutes in order to keep any fish that you catch. Near the top of the screen is a meter that measures how much water is in the boat, the condition of the sail, the amount of fish that you have caught and the amount of time that you have left to keep the boat above water.
On top of these disasters, you’ll find that the boat rocks back and forth, which makes it more difficult to repair the problems. Anyhow, if you see a leak in the boat, just click on it to patch it up with some Swamp Paste. The Bailing Bucket can be clicked on to throw some water overboard. When the sail snaps (which it definitely will), just climb up the stairs on either side of the boat and click on it to repair it.
——————————————————————————–
Organization!
Organization is the key to any Trawler Trip. There are a few spots that can be filled to offer more organization and chance of success:
•All Around Crew – A few of your team would help. They do everything from plugging the holes and fixing the net, to bailing when needed.
•Net Fixers – Only 1 or 2 are needed, regardless of the size of the crew. The net fixers should bring along about 20 or more coils of rope, and a bailing bucket. Whenever the net is damaged, the net fixer should repair it, and whenever it is fine, they should bail like hell!
•Hole Fixers – There should be more of these crew members than any other since there are lots of holes, but only 2 hands per person (at least I hope…). They should bring around 100 Swamp Paste each, depending on the size of the crew. Whenever no holes need to be fixed, or when no Swamp Paste is left, bail like hell!
——————————————————————————–
Success or Failure?
If you manage to last through the entire trip consisting of 10-12 minutes, you will be back at Port Khazard and you’ll be able to collect your fish (and assorted junk) from the large net near the ship. Be proud, be damn proud; you have conquered the Trawler Trip.
If you do not manage to make it through the trip, then the ship will sink and you will be swimming on top of the wreck. Just try and grab a barrel, and you’ll swim back to shore. You should end up near the Tower of Life. Just log off, take a break, and do NOT go on a killing spree (trust me, it just gets you even more mad).

Congratulations on getting a Runescape membership! Pay to Play (P2P) offers a huge new universe for members to explore, including tons of cities, dungeons, monsters, skills, quests, money-making, and more!
This guide will discuss some new travel possibilities, recommend some quests that are helpful to new members, address starting each of the new member skills available (Agility, Construction, Farming, Fletching, Herblore, Slayer and Thieving), and discuss other member features encountered while becoming acquainted with the wider domain of Runescape P2P.
If you are new to the world of Runescape in general, you may also want to look at Tip.It’s Beginners’ Guide, which contains basic information about the game that applies to both Free To Play (F2P) and P2P.
When reviewing the many helpful Tip.It guides, be reminded: as a member, the “shaded” members items in tables are available to you!Return to Top
Getting Around and New Areas to Explore
The Runescape P2P surface land is many times larger than Free to Play (F2P): see Tip.It’s 1.4MB interactive World Map. New members may want to keep a map handy for quick reference while becoming familiar with new areas.
Enchanted jewellery transports are a significant member advantage. The Getting Around Guide lists the various methods of transportation available in Runescape, most of which are exclusive to members. The Gnome gliders and Spirit trees both have quest requirements, as do many others.
An early issue confronting new members is “How do I get to the member areas?” On Karamja, just walk west to the Brimhaven gate. Then you can head north and pay 30 gp to take the ship to Ardougne, home of the Market Square thieving area.
From Falador, just walk west of Doric’s house to pass through the member gate into Taverly.
Alternatively, from the Crafting Guild southwest of Falador, walk north through the member gate next to the Makeover Mage to head towards Taverly (past the famous “Member” Dungeon).
The Fishing Contest quest will allow you to bypass climbing over White Wolf Mountain (with its’ many hostile level 30+ wolves) when travelling between Taverly and Catherby.
The Priest in Peril quest unlocks the Morytania region (east of Varrock).
The Death Plateau quest unlocks the Troll Stronghold area north of Burthorpe.
The Lost City quest unlocks the fairy city of Zanaris, home of the Cosmic runecrafting altar.
Starting the Giant Dwarf quest unlocks Keldagrim, underground home of the dwarves.
Starting the In Aid of the Myreque quest unlocks Burgh de Rott, a city in Morytania.
The Regicide quest unlocks the elven land of Tirannwn, but it’s the fourth in a quest series which starts with the Plague City quest.Return to Top
Skills
The members-only skills are Agility, Construction, Farming, Fletching, Herblore, Slayer and Thieving.
To start training Agility, go to the Tree Gnome Stronghold Agility course. Agility is helpful for short cuts which get you around faster, and in numerous quests. With increased Agility, you also have more energy so you can run longer (good for getting places, and an advantage in the Wilderness!) Run energy is discussed in the Getting Around Guide. You can improve your run energy by getting some boots of lightness from the Temple of Ikov north of the Ardougne farming patches (the quest is not required) – simply take a lit candle and a slashing weapon (such as a dagger or sword) into the temple, then go west and down the stairs. Slash the web in front of the only red dot in the room, and grab several pairs of the boots to keep backups. Agility is the only member skill that works in Free to Play (F2P) worlds – your run energy will deplete slower in F2P as well as P2P.
To start training the long-awaited Construction skill, go to an Estate Agent office in Varrock, Falador, Seers’ Village, or East Ardougne (locations shown in guide). Purchase a house for 1K, and follow the Construction Beginner’s Guide Walkthrough for step by step instructions to achieve level 5. Use Tip.It’s handy, unique and sortable Construction Table to learn what you can build at each level, including the materials and other requirements for each item.
To start Farming, you need some potato seeds. Go to Draynor Village market square and buy some seeds from Olivia’s stall (or steal them if your Thieving is 10 or higher). Then go northwest to the farm located north of Port Sarim’s bar, just southeast of Falador. Inside you can buy most of the Farming equipment you will need (a Seed dibber, a Rake, and a Watering can) for very little money (less than 100 gp). Fill your Watering can at the Sink or Rain barrel. Proceed north outside and hop the stile to the farming patch, then follow the instructions in Tip.It’s Farming guide to plant your first crop.
Fletching isn’t hard to begin – just get a regular Knife and some Logs and use the Knife on the Logs. To make Bowstrings, pick Flax (small plants with blue flowers) located in a field south of the Party Castle in Seers’ Village. Use the Flax on the Spinning Wheel upstairs in the house just north of the church. Spinning Wheel locations are marked on Tip.It’s 1.4MB interactive World Map. For a personal touch, visit the Ranged Guide tutor in Lumbridge (just north of the castle, south of the general store) – she can also advise members about fletching.
Herblore is unlocked by completing the Druidic Ritual quest. Herblore is a key part of both the Hero’s quest and the Legends quest, so start using those Guams and Marrentills (frequently dropped by Al Kharid warriors) right away!
The Slayer skill is begun by visiting a Slayer Master to get an assignment. The easiest one is Turael in Burthorpe (north of Taverly), in the first house on the east side of town. See the Slayer skill guide for further info. Consult Tip.It’s Bestiary to get detailed information on any monster.
To start Thieving, pickpocket Men (level 2) and Women (level 2) until your Thieving reaches 5 or 10. Then you’ll want to travel to Ardougne market square, the RS thieving mecca. See the Thieving skill guide.
All F2P skills have portions that are members-only. To learn about these added member techniques, check any of Tip.It’s Skill Guides and look for sections marked “members only”, items marked with an asterisk *, or for table rows highlighted in grey. For example, member Crafting includes the art of glassblowing, to create various useful glass items and earn crafting xp. New members may want to sail from Port Sarim to Entrana (don’t bring any weapons or stat-boosting gear) to learn about this from Fritz the Glassblower. Other members-only Crafting abilities include making dragonhide and snakeskin armour, spinning flax into bowstrings, making battlestaves, and more. Return to Top
Beware
Things for members to watch out for include poisoning, desert effect, and of course the Wilderness.
While touring Karamja and some dungeons, be aware that as a member you can get poisoned by certain monsters such as some spiders and Karamjan Tribesmen. Thieving certain chests also may release a cloud of poison. Regular poison starts by doing 4 HP damage each time it hits you (shown as a green “splat”), and takes a while to wear off – lower level members won’t survive it without Antipoison potions. See the Herblore Guide Poisoning section.
You can also die of the “desert effect” in the Kharidian desert south of Al Kharid (through Shantay Pass, where you will be warned). Take precautions when going there: wear desert robes, carry waterskins, and use a Knife to cut Kharidian cactus to replenish your water supplies.
The Wilderness is just as lethal in P2P as it is in F2P. If you’re new to Runescape, be aware that dying in the Wilderness deprives you of all but the three most valuable (store price) items you are carrying or wearing. If you have been in a fight in the Wilderness, you get a “skull” floating above your head, and dying will deprive you of ALL of your items. High level and P2P Wilderness areas also do not allow players to teleport out (not even Ring of Life or other enchanted jewellery teleports), so keep these dangers in mind. East Ardougne (west of the palace) has a “teleport lever” that transports you to the highest-level, exclusively members-only Wilderness area. Our 550KB Wilderness Map shows this area’s features, which include an Agility course and the Mage Arena mini game. Return to Top
Weapons
A wide range of exotic weaponry is available to members, with new ones being added all the time.
Although Dragon weapons have in many cases been outclassed by newer weapons, the more powerful weapons require large amounts of cash or very high skill levels to obtain (80+). Dragon weapons offer excellent benefits and are within financial reach of most rune-armoured players, although they do require 60 Attack to wield. They offer a nice bonus for training Strength. They can be purchased from other players; most are also available from a shop after finishing a quest. You may not be able to wield some of them without the related quest. See the Dragon weapons section of the Combat guide.
The Combat guide also has detailed information on the more expensive and rare weapons available to members.Return to Top

Minor money-making tips
There are many ways to make money as a member, but they may involve having high levels or already having some assets to invest. If you become a member at a lower level, you may be anxious to make some cash. In addition to the ways you already know (such as mining ore, merchandising, etc.), there are some low-level ways to make cash in P2P. One is Pure essence mining (requires 30 Mining) – members also have three additional essence mine teleport locations (see the Runecrafting guide). Another method is picking Flax (no skill required), and/or spinning Flax into Bowstrings (10 Crafting required; described in Fletching skill mentioned above). Fletching itself is a third low-level cash source – players will buy feathers, arrow shafts, headless arrows and arrows. All of the above items should be sold in bulk (no less than a hundred, but preferably thousands) to obtain the best prices – consult Tip.It’s Market Forums to survey current values.
A fourth method for obtaining quick runes (or possibly cash) is “essence running”. This activity supports higher level runecrafters who want to train but don’t want to keep running to the bank for more essence – a hungry player can fill this gap. Show up at the altar with a full pack of the appropriate essence (regular for 6 basic runes, pure essence for member-crafted runes) and receive payment (runes and/or cash and/or matching noted essence) in return. Then run to the bank, change noted essence into essence (depositing your cash and/or runes), and repeat as many times as desired. Popular worlds for essence running include 66 and 99 (Laws), and 91 (Natures). If you don’t yet have level 30 Mining (to get pure essence), you can try taking regular essence to the F2P world 16 Air altar.
If you are not yet comfortable enough in Runescape to try any of the above ideas, a far smaller (and smaller-paying!) job is available. Talk to the Wise Old Man, who lives just north of the bank in Draynor Village. Although he has a shady past, he has two things to offer: (1) he will look at your bank and tell you which F2P quest items you can safely throw out, and (2) he will hire you to run errands, in return for very small amounts of coins or experience. The tasks involve basic things like mining copper ore or baking bread. A former F2Per won’t want to bother, but someone who is entirely new to Runescape might want to try it
After completing the Jungle Potion Quest, you’ll see that the villagers of Tai Bwo Wannai are just starting to move back in. After being away from their village for awhile, apparently the surrounding jungle has started growing in. Now they need your help to clean up!
——————————————————————————–
The Basics
Vinesweeper is a Farming minigame where you help Farmer Blinkin get out of his cotton-tailed problems. His farm has been overrun with rabbits and he needs your help to get his seeds back before the rabbits eat them all!
——————————————————————————–
Requirements
The only requirements for this classic minigame are level 10 Farming and having a Spade.
You need a spade to play. Mrs. Winkin will sell you a Spade for 5 gp.
You need flags to mark seeds. You can only hold up to 10 at a time. If you are successful in marking seeds, your flag will be returned to you when you speak to Mrs. Winkin or Farmer Blinkin. You can buy new flags from Mrs. Winkin or Farmer Blinkin for 500 gp each. You can also trade Mrs. Winkin and buy then for 50 points
Ogleroot are used to keep the rabbits away. They can be purchased from Farmer Blinkin or dug up while playing the game.
——————————————————————————–
Getting There
To get to Vinesweeper, talk to any of your friendly Tool Leprechauns located near every farming patch. They will teleport you directly to Farmer Blinkin’s overrun potato farm. For faster teleportation, right-click him and choose “Teleport.”
——————————————————————————–
How To Play
When you first enter the portal, you will see four information signs to the east. These signs will show you how to play the game.
After reading the signs, go on inside and talk to Mrs. Winkin to get your flags. She will hand you ten free flags and then tells you to go get working.
Climb over the stile to the north, south, east, or west to get to the farmland.
You will see yourself in the middle of many piles of dirt.
You will occasionally see a rabbit. They will eat any flags that you set up. To get rid of them, feed them an Ogleroot.
When you choose somewhere to dig, you can either dig up a seed, a number, or you can clear away a large patch of land and see many numbers. If you dig up a patch, any space that is touching open land will not have a seed. Each number represents how many seeds are next to it. If there is a 1, only 1 seed is touching the number. The numbers go as high as 5.
Basic Techniques
There are two different ways to play Vinesweeper. The first way is to clear the land and flag seeds while doing it. The second way is to just dig up the holes, not flagging any seeds.
If you can get a 1 to only have one spot for the seed to be, you can be sure not to dig there. The pile of dirt in the red square has a seed in it. Notice how the 1 in the top-right has only one open pile of dirt touching it. That guarantees that a seed is below that pile of dirt.
Continuing on from the picture above, you can see many other number 1s around the seed. Because you know where the seed is, the other spots touching those number 1s can not have a seed. They are free to dig in and might open up another pathway for finding seeds. In the picture below, the piles of dirt with an X can not have a seed, while the pile with an O absolutely has a seed.
——————————————————————————–
Common Patterns and How to Solve Them
In this section, there will be many descriptions below the pictures on how to solve them.
The top left flag marks the classic 1-1-1 Corner. The top right flag marks a 1-1-1-1-1 U formation. The bottom two flags are very similar formations. The top one has a 1-1 which can only have one solution. The bottom one is a mirror of that pattern.
In this picture, the flag is near two different 1s. The right 1 is the number that tells you where the flag goes. It has to be diagonal from it because any other spaces touching it are also touching open ground.
The top flag is the pattern of 1-1-1 in a line. The solution has to be in the middle because the outer two 1s have the hole with the flag in it as the only hole not touching cleared ground. The bottom-right flag consists of the same rule, with just one 1. The bottom-left flag would be a 1-1-1 corner formation if hole to the top-left of the flag was dug up. Finally, the flag on the left would also be a 1-1-1 corner. The trick to identifying these patterns is to think to find out what numbers and also memorization of patterns.
The main point so far has been that any hole touching cleared ground can not have a seed in it. That rule applies to the flag in this picture.
In the front of the image, you see a corner of 1-1-2. By eliminating the squares currently touching cleared land, only two spots are possible to be marked, diagonal from the 2 and just to the right of the 2.
Even more emphasis on the cleared ground rule. The 2 only has two possible spots for the seed to be, the spots marked by the flags.
In the middle of the picture, there is a 1-2-1 line pattern. In this pattern, the flags have to be diagonal from the 2.
The corner of 2-1-2 has only one solution. The corner has the one seed diagonal to it. The two 2s also have to have the seed diagonal to them because the 1 already has a seed touching it. This means you can flag three seeds.
When you have a line of 2-3-2 with one side having a cleared area, the three holes touching the 3 have to have a seed in them and need to be flagged.
In the pattern of 1-2-2-1 in a line, both holes directly in front of the 2s have seeds in them.
With the pattern of 1-2-3-X, the flagged holes are the only solution. The hole below the 3 has to be empty because it is touching cleared ground. That leaves only three holes touching the 3.
A 1-1-0-1-1 pattern is basically a 1-1-1 corner if you dug up the holes. It is very simple once you learn the pattern.
You can see the pattern of a 0-1-2-2. The corner 1 has to have a seed touching it, and the 2 to the right of the 1 also is limited in possible spaces so both holes touching it have a seed.
This is one of the more complicated formations. First, use the Clear Ground rule to eliminate holes for the bottom 1. You find that the seed has to be directly above the bottom 1. That means the seed to the right of the first 2 can not have a seed because it is touching the 1 that already has a seed. The seed above the first 2 has to have a seed because of that. The second 2 from the bottom has a seed to the right of it and directly above it. That means the third 2 has both seeds found for it. The 1 also has the seed found for it already.
These patterns might look complicated, but it is actually quite easy to solve. Any hole touching a 3 has to have a seed next to it, solving the whole sequence.
Occasionally you will find a glitch where a 1 has no solution. Just ignore this and continue working.

Experience may be bought per point, from level 40 Farming up. Spending your points for experience is an all or nothing price, so make sure to buy seeds before buying experience. Before spending points on experience, you will be asked to confirm your selection.

The Champions’ Guild now contains a Basement where Players are able to fight against Champions of the different races in RuneScape. To fight against a Champion of a race you need to obtain a Challenge Scroll for that particular Champion. This is achieved by fighting the normal monster the Champion represents, for example when you kill Lesser Demons there is a change they will drop a Challenge Scroll from the Lesser Demon Champion.
If you are lucky enough to get a Challenge Scroll as a drop, you need to hand your Challenge Scroll to Larxus in the Champions’ Guild Basement. Larxus will inform you of the rules of the forthcoming fight. If you accept the challenge you will be teleported to the area. The Champions will put up a strong showing, as they are stronger than the average member of the race they are representing.
When you have killed the Champion, the Challenge is completed and you will receive an Experience reward (Experience varies from Champion to Champion). You will also find that a Banner will appear on one of the Basement walls showing the Champion you defeated.

When you have successfully defeated every Champion you are able to challenge the mysterious Champion of Champions, Leon D’Cour who is level 141.
Important Information
You can only fight Champions once; if you get a second Challenge Scroll and show it to Larxus, he will take the Challenge Scroll from you and say that you can only fight each Champion once.
Challenge Scrolls are, like Treasure Trail Clues, totally random.
If you die in the Arena, then it is just like dying in the rest of RuneScape; you will lose everything except for your three most valuable items (or four if you use the Protect Items prayer).

Smithing Steel Platebodies is the only good way to level up for a non-member. If you have 1000 Coals (since you need Coal for all the items above Steel), with 1000 Coals, while making Steel Platebodies, you receive (1000/ 2) 0* 55 = 27500 experience points. If you are making Mithril Platebodies, you will only receive (1000/4) * 80 = 20000 experience points. Same thing goes for Adamant and for Rune. You are 31 Smithing and you need 48 Smithing, here is what you should do: smelt and smith 1235 Steel bars. Buy the ores if you can afford them or just mine them. Now that you are 48 Smithing, you can start smithing Steel Platebodies. If you are using this method, do not buy the ores if you want to make some RuneScape money. Mine them in Dwarven mines or in the Mining Guild if you have 60 Mining. High-alchemize all the Steel Platebodies you smith. You will receive 1200 coins per Platebody.
If you want to get 99 Smithing with this way (the only good one if you are a non-member), you will need to smelt and smith 235,481 Steel bars. You will make 47,097 Steel Platebodies and when High-alchemizing them, you will get 56,516,400 coins. Remember to mine all the ores you need if you want to make money. The only items you need to buy as a non-member are Nature runes. You can also collect them by killing some monsters that drop a fair amount of these runes like Hill giants, Moss giants, Wizards, Dark wizards, Ice warriors, and many others.

I’m going to the Fight Caves, and I’m really nervous about doing it. I’m a nervous person by nature. So, after lurking here for a week, it’s seems that one person in particular has beat the Fight Cave 11 or 13 time, I can’t remember. Anyways, this is mostly directed toward him/her. I need help, because I wasted almost all my money on supplies, mainly Super Restores and Sara Brews. Here’s my set up:
Helm of Neitiznot
Guthix Stole
Black D’hide top
Black D’hide vambraces
Black D’hide chaps
Dragon Boots
Ava’s Accumulator
Rune C’bow
1k Addy bolts
Explorer’s Ring (for Prayer Boost)
Rune Gloves
Unholy Book
My stats:
76 Attack
86 Strength
75 Defense
61 Prayer
72 Range
81 HP
My inventory is 2 Ranging Potion(4), 10 Sara Brews(4), 16 Super Restores(4). I’ll be using Range throughout the whole thing. I have no money left to waste. The thing that I mostly need to know is when to heal, where to hide, and especially, Jad’s attacks. I know that they have a certain sound. Thanks for I the help!!!

Halloween is right around the corner and if you’re like me then you’re gearing up for all the fall craft shows buy making plenty of halloween themed beaded jewelry. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and making jewelry with halloween beads always gives me a little kick!
Click on the photo for more cheap Halloween lampwork beads, charms and lots of other cheap beading supplies for Halloween at OrientalTrading.com!Halloween is a fun holiday but it isn’t one of those holidays where people want to spend a lot of money on beaded jewelry. I understand that so I always try to price my Halloween bead jewelry a little lower than my regular bead jewelry, but to make sure I stay profitable and still make money at my fall craft shows I use some techniques to make sure I buy my Halloween beads without spending a lot of money.
The key to making money selling Halloween jewelry is to make sure you buy cheap Halloween beads. Here are some tips you can use to buy cheap beads for Halloween or any holiday!
Buy Cheap Beads from Discount Stores: I’ve written about the importance of buying cheap beads from discount stores in the past, but for Halloween beads and other holiday items this is especially important. Halloween items always have high prices before Halloween and low prices afterwards. Regular and specialty bead shops will have high prices initially to make the most profit they can, but discount stores don’t need to grab the high profit because their strategy is to sell high quantities of items at lower prices. As a result the price of Halloween and holiday beads at discount stores won’t vary as much and you can be sure you’re always paying a low price for your beads.
Buy Cheap Halloween Beads in Bulk or Wholesale: You can buy any sort of bead in bulk or wholesale, but a lot of people forget that beads for a specific holiday like Halloween can be saved and reused from year to year, regardless of style or trends. I mean, no matter what the fashion trends are from one year to the next I’m sure I’ll always be able to sell beaded bracelets with black cat beads and beaded earrings with Halloween Jack-O-Lantern beads on them!
Buy Up Those Cheap Halloween Beads in November: I love to go shopping the day after Halloween for beads at all the local craft stores and online sites because I can always get great deals that I couldn’t get a few days before. If you want cheap beads for Halloween or any holiday then you need to be willing to buy up the clearance inventory beads at a deep discount after each holiday. I know Halloween will come around next year and when it does I’ll have plenty of beads ready to go for my next Halloween jewelry projects!
The key to buying a lot of cheap beads after a holiday like Halloween is having the patience, organizational skills and room to store them! I personally use well-labeled plastic bins to store all my cheap Halloween and other holiday beads from year to year.
This method of buying of lots of cheap beads at a discount and then storing them works for all the holidays, obviously, but it also has a fun side to it. After you buy up your beads and put them away for a year it’s a lot of fun to open up those boxes and discover all the neat Halloween beads that you forgot about from the year before! It’s almost like having a little treasure chest of surprise cheap beads from one year to the next!
This is a simple guide that will give a broad overview of skills and how to level them quickly or sufficiently balancing the spending and experience you receive per hour. This guide is for non members (f2p). This guide isn’t for lower levels and it is based on higher levelled skills but the basics are included in this guide too.
Magic:
Mage is a great skill for combat from a distance, but levelling it can be a tedious process. There is no cheaper way to level it, but it does get easier once you reach level 43 and over. I don’t have a certain guide from bellow level 43 but I do recommend using non combat mage spells because they do tend to be cheaper. I have heard of people going to south of Falador, with fire runes and using the spell “fire strike” on a wizard of the same “rune”, in this case fire. This means, the wizard won’t take any damage from a spell of his own kind, this means you don’t have to keep an eye at your character unless there is a chance that you might die, but the wizard will stay alive as long as you use fire strike. Once you reach level 43, I highly recommend you use “super heat”. This is a spell that turns your ores into bars without going to a furnace. This is fast xp for both smithing and magic, it is cheap and reliable. Your next goal is level 55 mage, here, you can start alching, and you should always high alch or you might loose runescape money. Alching is the way to get to 99 mage, and it should take 3 months if you alch at least 4k of the item a day, and remember, it doesn’t matter the cost of the item, you will always get 65 mage xp from alching.
Runecrafting:
This is a hard skill to level, in members or non members. For fast xp, you should start with air and keep using air till level 50. This is a lot of work, but it is the fastest way if you are walking. I recommend using a tiara and normal essence. Now, at level 50, you can make a bit of cash with crafting air runes, but I recommend going to the runecrafting guild, found in the wizard’s tower. There, you can participate in a mini game which will earn you tokens, you can spend the tokens on what ever you want, but if you want to keep levelling your runecrafting, buy as many teleporting tablets to the body alter as you can and then go to the grand exchange and buy rune essence. To find out how many essence you can craft with the tablets, you times the number of rune essence you can fit in your inventory by the number of tablets which. Now you can just teleport to the body altar, craft the runes and then teleport to Varrock and head to the big bank, and repeat. You will loose money, but you will level fast. I am sure there are other ways, but this is just one of the many.
Mining:
The fastest way to level mining is by power mining. Power mining is where you mine the iron ore and then drop it on the spot. Iron ore is the fastest xp you can get, at about 45k to 55k xp an hour. But, this is now impossible as it requires 3 ores to be in a v like shape, but that was taken away with the latest update. You can still mine the 3 ores in alkarad but you will have to walk. Another way to mine is to mine coal in the mining guild, level 60 mining required, or 59 + stout. You can do a lot of things in the mine, one of them would be to mine mithril ore and coal ore then super heat and turn into bars, when you have a full inventory, bank and repeat. This is 8k less xp an hour then power mining iron.
Smithing:
With smithing, you can get creative, but it cost a lot of money to level, and for an f2p player, it is a near impossible task if you don’t have the time and money. You have 3 main choices here, super heat ores at bank, but the lower levelled the ore the more money you will loose, you can smelt the ores normally, buy either buying the ores from the grand exchange or mining them yourself. The fastest, but most expensive way is the smith steel plates, buy steel bars and make steel plates, this is extremely fast but very expensive. You can mine the ores, and then make the bars yourself if you want, but this will be a lot slower. This is the way to get to 99 in f2p.
Fishing:
There aren’t many ways to fish in f2p; you have to choose between fast xp or fast money. Fishing is a great way to make money in f2p and p2p. If you want money, get to level 41 fishing and go to Karamja and fish lobsters, it will be slow so I recommend a level of around 60 if you want good money. If you want fast xp, buy or get your own feathers, buy a fly fishing rod and go and fish trout and salmon at barbarian village. This is the fastest fishing xp and it only takes around 3 minutes for a full bag of both trout and salmon. At level 65 fishing, you can get swordfish gloves from Fist of Guthix which will allow you to fish 1000 swordfish without getting any tuna. If you want money, always fish the best thing you can, if you want xp go to barbarian village.
Cooking:
Cooking is a very easy skill to level, and the fastest way is to buy the raw fish from the grand exchange, cook them and then sell them. You will always loose money, and will end up loosing around 3 – 4ml from 1 to 99. Try not to cook fish that you will burn, and once you get to level 86, you can cook swordfish to level 99 because they are cheaper then lobsters because you need less of them and the difference between buying and selling is less gp. You can always fish your own fish, and cook them which will level both your fishing and cooking. Be aware, trouts are the cheapest to cook and you will only loose a few gp but they sell very slowly, but a bit faster then willow logs.
Firemaking:
Fire making costs a lot of money and you don’t make any money from it in non members. It is a bit useless, but it is an easy skill to level. For fast xp, use the best logs you can, but I don’t recommended you use yews because they cost too much if you use them all the way to 99, only use them when you get to the high 90s. I would recommend using maple logs to 99 because they are cheaper and it will cost around 3.5ml to 99. Use willow if you have to, they cost around half as much as willow logs.
Woodcutting:
Woodcutting is a good runescape gold making skill once you get to level 60 woodcutting. Chopping down yew logs at level 60 is very slow, so the higher you are the better. To get to level 60 woodcutting, cut willows at either Lumbrige or Draynor. I would recommend Draynor but it is always crowded. Willow is a lot faster xp then yews but they don’t sell very well, it takes a long, long time.

1) We have adjusted both the rate at which your energy drains when running AND the rate at which it returns. Overall, these changes mean you will be able to spend a greater proportion of time running than before.
2) You can now sit down and rest anywhere by right-clicking on the run button, which will recharge your run energy (and Hitpoints) much faster (the musicians located at various places around Gielinor provide even faster recharge rates).
3) We have adjusted all energy-restoring potions and food so that they restore more run energy, to make sure they are still useful in light of the above changes.
4) Agility has been made more effective for improving running, as it now reduces your recharge time AND increases the distance you can run per run energy point. Agility levels 50-99 in particular have been made more useful, as previously they offered very little extra running advantage.
5) Agility no longer gives a boost on free worlds, as it was giving members an unfair advantage against free users when PKing or resource gathering on free worlds. Members’ features were always supposed to be turned off on free worlds to avoid spoiling the game for the free players, and indeed most of them were (which is why you can’t use members’ weapons on free worlds, for example), but for some reason we missed the Agility one. Of course, members are welcome to also play on free worlds if they want to, but they shouldn’t expect to have an unfair advantage against free users when playing on a free users’ world.
