Overview
The Chaos Elemental is a unique level 305 monster that floats in the north-eastern part of the Wilderness, near the Rogues’ Castle. It has a variety of strange attacks which make it a fun and challenging fight. It can teleport you several squares away, and even unequip your items. The Chaos Elemental uses multi-target prayer-penetrating Ranged and Magic-based attacks. In this guide, you will learn ways to deal with these annoying effects. You will learn the basic setups for hunting the Elemental, both with a team or going solo. Without taking proper equipment, you may find yourself in a bit of a chaotic situation. With some skill and luck, you may receive a Dragon 2H sword for your efforts!

Chaos Elemental Basic Facts (Bestiary Profile)
Combat Level: 305 Life points: 2500 Maximum Hit: 280 Attack Style(s): Special
Experience Summary
As this is a boss monster, it is not a very efficient training method. The Chaos Elemental has a very high defense and is therefore very slow experience.
Drops Summary
The drops from the Chaos Elemental are very random. You receive two drops per kill. The unique drop is the Dragon Two-Handed sword, which is a powerful weapon among mid-level players.
Special Notes
The Chaos Elemental has many unique attacks. Its attacks are not limited to any particular style, although it is mostly magic-based. Protection prayers will not fully absorb damage! One of its attacks will teleport you to a random place nearby and another will unequip some of your gear, unless your inventory is full.

Minimum and Recommended Levels
The following recommendations are by no means a requirement. It depends on your individual ability, and the amount of players participating. Below are some guidelines to take into consideration:

The most effective way to hunt the Chaos Elemental is Range, but there are melee alternatives.

Minimum Levels for Ranged

70+ Ranged, Black Dragonhide is almost a must.
50+ Magic, Magic Defence is key to surviving a long time.
60+ Defence, Defence in general is important to deflect some of its hits.
37+ Prayer, Protect from Magic is a must.
Recommended Levels for Ranged

80+ Ranged, This is especially helpful if you will be using Void.
70+ Magic
70+ Defence
70+ Prayer, Blessing is a very helpful ability to have in a team.
Minimum Levels for Melee

75+ Attack and Strength, Godswords seem to be very effective weapons against the Chaos Elemental.
50+ Magic
60+ Defence
37+ Prayer
Recommended Levels for Melee

80+ Attack and Strength, the more powerful, the better.
70+ Magic
70+ Defence
70+ Prayer
Of course it is possible with lower levels, but such kills will be extremely slow and a waste of supplies. If you plan to solo the Chaos Elemental, 90+ Stats in either Range or Melee are highly recommended, depending on what you use.

Preparing for Battle
Be aware that the Chaos Elemental is located in Deep Wilderness, and you are thus at the mercy of any Revenant party that may pass by, so be prepared for a quick escape.

What To Bring:

Games necklace – for quick banking.
Forinthry bracelet – for preventing Teleblock and easing your escape from a Revenant attack.
Rune Crossbow or Godsword – the preferred weapons for the Chaos Elemental. Ruby and diamond bolts allow for high hits, and the Godsword’s high accuracy is a bonus.
Familiar Pouch + Scrolls – Terrorbirds are helpful for boosting Run Energy, since you will be running frequently. War Tortoises can store more food.
Super Attack and Strength, or Ranging Potion – Be able to do as much damage as possible.
Prayer Potions – Protect from magic is needed when fighting this creature.
High Level Contained Food – Keep your inventory completely filled at all times, to prevent the Chaos Elemental from unequipping your items. For this to work, you should use food that comes in containers, such as pies or curries.
Equipment
Ranging Method

With this method, you will be using Ruby and Diamond bolts, with Magic prayer active. You can use Karil’s leather armour for increased Magic defence, or Armadyl armour for an increase in both Magic defence and Ranged offence.

Getting to the Chaos Elemental
Teleport to either Bounty Hunter or Clan Wars, and head to the Wilderness Portal shown in the map. If you are bringing a familiar, summon it at Bounty Hunter and fill the empty inventory space with another piece of food. You do not want ANY empty inventory spaces while fighting the Chaos Elemental.
Keep using the Wilderness Portals until you arrive at the Rogues’ Castle. Head into the Rogues’ Castle, which will be your regroup and preparation area. When you are ready, you can try to lure the Elemental, which is described later.

If the Chaos Elemental is inside the Rogues’ Castle area, run to the north area near the invisible Spirit Portal. Usually, the Chaos Elemental will never be able to reach that area.

The Ardougne Teleport lever is NOT recommended as a way of getting to the Chaos Elemental. This is because you can only approach from the Western side, and are thus vulnerable to its attacks for a long period of time, with the safe area of the Rogues’ Castle being very far away. The Chaos Elemental’s teleport attack will also prevent you from easily running to safety.

Strategy
The Chaos Elemental uses a variety of different attacks. Its’ main damaging attack is a prayer-penetrating magic/ranged projectile, which can deal up to 280 damage. In addition to this, it has two special attacks with unique effects:

Green Orb Attack: Unequips some of the items you are wielding. It will not do so if you do not have free inventory space.
Red Orb Attack: Teleports you to a random location around the Chaos Elemental.

Chaos Elemental Wander Range
Below is a comprehensive map showing the wander and attack range of the Chaos Elemental. Consider yourself safe from its attacks if you are not within the Red region. Keep in mind that this region represents the Wander Range and Attack range, so while it may not be able to actively wander the north side of the Scorpion Pit, it can still reach you with its’ projectiles!

Luring the Chaos Elemental
Here is a detailed look at luring the Chaos Elemental, which can help greatly if you are ambushed by Revenants.

Runescape Password

Hundreds of people a week find that somehow their Runescape password has managed to fall into the hands of someone who ends up hacking their Runescape account. More often than not these password hackers are friends of these people and have only managed to gain their Runescape password due to the fault of the Runescape account owner that was hacked, yet they still wonder how they hacked their runescape account. There are hordes of ways that people attempt to obtain people’s Runescape passwords whether it be via guessing their security questions and changing their runescape passwords or whether it be attempting to embed a trojan on an individual’s computer. The number of people of playing Runescape is increasing everyday and unfortunately it would appear that the number of people trying to find out how to hack Runescape accounts is also on the rise, despite Jagex’s best effort to eliminate such behaviour. Everyday hundreds of people search for Runescape password finders and runescape password lists so you too need to be ever aware of protecting your Runescape password and your account full of your precious Runescape items.

Runescape Password Security

OK so what can you do to protect you Runescape password? It is going to sound simple and if you have heard it once you would have heard it a thousand times, don’t use the same password for Runescape as you do other places. It’s a simple step and whilst 99% of other Runescape related sites you sign up at using some sort of password will be secure and have no intention of abusing the information they have on you that doesn’t mean you should trust them (even if you know the data collected like your password is automatically encrypted).

Another simple step you can take to ensure you are never hacked is even easier than the first. It is never tell anyone your Runescape password or your password recovery questions. You’d think this would go without saying but if I had to bet, I’d bet that over 50% of all Runescape accounts that are hacked would be a result of person obtaining someone’s password by them telling them either directly or by them telling someone else who passes the information onto a third party. So a simple rule that will save you a lot of grief is just to never, under any circumstance, tell someone your Runescape password.

Now I mentioned earlier that lots of sites atomically encrypt data to prevent site admins or owners from using that information against users, this usually includes passwords. However encryptions like most things can be broken, so you want to make sure you make your password as secure as possible. So you password should consist of at least 8 character and include both letters and numbers. This should ensure that your password is as difficult to break as it can be.

It seems to be of growing popularity that Runescape players that are sick of earning gold the regular way are looking for quick ways to hack people’s accounts and one of the most popular ways is having files installed on other Runescape player’s computers to collect the user’s Runescape password. How do you avoid having you account hacked this way – simple – don’t download mysterious files form untrustworthy resources. Just because it is on the internet and says it isn’t a malicious file doesn’t mean it is safe, and if you haven’t already installed spyware and virus protection I highly recommend you get on top of that, because the internet is full of nasty files and you need a means of protecting both your computer and precious details from such things.
Another seemingly simple plan is also to make sure that you periodically change your runescape passwords. Whilst this technique is more often used to prevent your accounts being hacked on sites that have cookies enabled – which isnt’t the case for Runescape. Nonetheless, periodically changing you runescape password and your other account passwords if a good habit to get into.

Runescape Password Finder, Cracker, List and Hacks

As I mentioned above hundreds of people everyday are searching for a Runescape password finder, or runescape password cracker or hack, but the reality is there just aren’t any. I mean I don’t think that people are going to post free Runescape password lists on the internet that are of any use. I mean surely if a Runescape hacker had players’ Runescape passwords they would use them for themselves, remove the valuable contents of the account then be done with the account. I mean what benefit is there for them by offering other Runescape players access to the account. As for Runescape password finders well I can’t really comment that much on them, to my knowledge they don’t exist and I have been playing Runescape since 2001, and how exactly would a password finder work? Unless the Runescape was obvious stored somewhere there is essentially nothing to be found, so unfortunately for many “want to be” Runescape password hackers they will go ahead and download programs claiming to be Runescape password finders or hacks but they are actually only downloading trojans or key loggers onto their own computers allowing others to hack their accounts. So if you are looking to hack Runescape accounts, save yourself the grief of having your own Runescape account hacked by playing Runescape the way it was meant to be played and stop looking for shortcuts

Location: Western Varrock (northwest of Juliet’s house, east of the Barbarian Village)
Requirements: Level 32 Cooking and a Chef’s Hat. If you have a Skillcape of Cooking (level 99 Cooking required), you don’t need a Chef’s Hat to enter the Guild. If you have a Chef’s Delight, you can enter the Cooks’ Guild at level 30 Cooking (with a mature Chef’s Delight, you can enter at level 29 Cooking). You can also enter the Cooks’ guild if you have Varrock Armour 3 equipped.

——————————————————————————–

Method One (Members Only)

Use a Necklace of Skills (enchanted Dragonstone Necklace) to teleport directly to the Cooks’ Guild. This is the fastest way, although a Necklace of Skills is rather expensive.

Method Two

The second best way to get to the Cooks’ Guild is by teleporting to Varrock, and then walking west to the Guild. To teleport to Varrock, you will need a Law Rune, Fire Rune and three Air Runes. You could always use a corresponding staff to take the place of the air or fire runes.

Method Three

Another way of getting to the Cooks’ Guild is by using a Skull Sceptre to teleport to the Barbarian Village, and then walking east. You can obtain a Skull Sceptre by killing selected monsters in the Stonghold of Security minigame.

Method Four (Members Only)

Finally, the last method to get to the Cooks’ Guild is by using Paddewa Teleport (level 54 Magic and completion of the quest Desert Treasure required) to the Edgeville Dungeon. To use Paddewa Teleport, you will need two Law Runes, one Air Rune and one Fire Rune. You should be at the westernmost side of the Edgeville Dungeon. The fastest way is to go all the way through the dungeon. To do that, just go north and follow the path, past the skeletons, zombies and hobgoblins. If you already have a Brass Key, just go up the ladder between the zombies and hill giants. You should be just a little west of the Cooks’ Guild. If you don’t have a Brass Key, follow the steps above and just pick up a Brass Key in a small cove just north of the Hill Giants.

——————————————————————————–

The First Floor

There are only two NPCs in the Cooks’ Guild and they are both found on the first floor of the Guild. The first is the Head Chef who will welcome you to the Guild if you talk to him:

Additionally, if you are a member with level 99 Cooking, talk to him to buy a Skillcape of Cooking for 99,000 coins.

The second NPC in the Cooks’ Guild is Romily Weaklax, the pie seller.

Romily is Members’ only. His pie shop is explained later on in the guide.

(1) Chocolate Bar Respawn

If you bring Cakes to the Cooks’ Guild and have level 50 Cooking, you can turn them into Chocolate Cakes.

(2) The Pump and Drain

The pump and drain replace the former sink, allowing you to fill jugs with water to make cooking items, such as wine and pastry dough.

(3) Romily Weaklax’s Pie Stall

Romily sells various pies, from Redberry to Mud to Summer. If you forget a recipe for a certain pie, you can buy a Pie Recipe Book from Romily for the small price of 5 gp. Additionally, you can talk to Romily and he will place an order with you for a certain amount of pies. When you make and deliver them, Romily will pay you.

——————————————————————————–

The Second Floor

(1) Cooking Apples and Pie Dish

These two objects are the products of the most commonly produced food in the Cooks’ Guild: apple pie. Apple pie is made by adding pastry dough to a pie dish to form a pie shell, then adding a cooking apple to make an uncooked apple pie.

(2) Bowl and Cake Tin

As the name suggests, bowls can be filled with water for use in making pastry dough. Cake tins, predictably, are used in making cakes, as pie dishes are used in making pies.

(3) The Ranges

Here, you can cook all of your uncooked food, such as pies, pizzas or cakes

(4) The Dairy Churn

With this useful equipment, members can make their very own butter, cheese and cream. Simply use a bucket of milk with the dairy churn and select the one you want to make.

——————————————————————————–

The Third Floor

(1) Cooking Apple

Here, another cooking apple respawns, in case someone else grabbed the ones on the second floor. Additionally, the jug that respawns here is used for the making of wine.

(2) Grapes and Pot

The pot is used in the production of flour, which will be explained later on. The grapes, like the jug, are used for producing wine. If you have level 35 Cooking, to make wine, simply go downstairs to the pump and drain and fill your jug with water, making a jug of water. Then, use the grapes with the jug of wine and you will have unfermented wine. After 15 seconds, your wine will ferment and will either become a jug of wine or a jug of bad wine.

(3) The Hopper

The hopper is the first mechanical step in making Flour.

(4) The Hopper Controls

After the grain is in the hopper, simply operate the hopper controls. This will mill the grain and it will slide down a chute to the bottom floor of the Cooks’ Guild, where you can collect it with a pot.

——————————————————————————–

The Wheat Field

With Jagex’s update to Varrock on May 29, 2007, the Cooks’ Guild gained its most useful aspect yet: its own Wheatfield. Previously, cooks wishing to make Apple Pies were forced to pick wheat from near the Champions’ Guild, or work with banked wheat. The update changed all of that when visitors to the Cooks’ Guild found that they could collect and mill wheat without ever leaving the Cooks’ Guild’s grounds. This, in turn, made the making of the Guild’s most popular recipe, Apple Pie, much quicker.

The Wheatfield is located directly to the north of the Guild. It’s not as big as some Wheatfields, such as the ones in Draynor Village or near the Champions’ Guild, but the wheat respawns fast enough that you shouldn’t have a problem getting as much as you need. As with all wheat fields, there’s a possibility that a Crop Circle will randomly appear. This phenomenon will give you access to the minigame Impetuous Impulses.

Location:After coming out of Falador’s south entrance, head west.
Requirements: At least level 40 Crafting, and a Brown Apron.

——————————————————————————–

A Map of the Area

The Ground Floor

In order to enter the North Door, you must have 40 Crafting and a Brown Apron from the Varrock Cloth Store. The oldest of the three Master Craftsmen will greet you with a good, “Welcome to the Guild of Master Craftsmen!” The Young Master Craftsman plays a part in the Swan Song Quest. On the nearby table in front of you will be two respawns. One is a Hammer, while the other a Chisel used for cutting uncut gems.

In the northwest side you’ll find a useful Amulet Mould and a Pottery Furnace for hardening crafted pottery.

In the northeast side you’ll find a jug to be filled with water to make mined Clay into Soft Clay and 4 Potter’s Wheels to form Soft Clay into objects. The sink is just south from here.

The Top Floor

The Top Floor has two spinning wheels which can be used to spin Wool, Flax, or Magic Tree Roots. On the nearby barrel there is a pair of Shears used to shave the nearby sheep in the north. All around on the tables are all kinds of moulds, Holy, Necklace, Ring, and Tiara. There’s also a friendly tanner who’s willing to tan cowhides, dragonhides, and snakeskin.

The Mining Area

The mining area is east of the main room. In this room are 6 Silver Rocks, 6 Clay Rocks, and 7 Gold Rocks. Gold is the most likely to have someone mining in it, then Silver, then Clay which shouldn’t serve a problem considering the small respawn time. The Mining Area is the number one place to mine Gold and Silver for Crafting, which is why it’s in the Crafting Guild.

Silver Rocks

Gold Rocks

The Cow Area

In the Cow Area, which to me is the best place due to its lack of new players swarming it, is a wide open space of cows galore, which goes great with the next door Tanner and the Crafting Store to the south in the town of Rimmington. In the Cow Area there are 10 Adult Cows and 2 Cow Calves, along with two new Dairy Cows that now produce milk for your Bucket.

Hobgoblin Area

The Hobgoblin Area is a peninsula west of the Crafting Guild itself. 9 Hobgoblins and 1 Spear Hobgoblin roam the area. At the tip of the peninsula, you’ll see the famous two Snap Grass Respawns, and a Medium Pile of Sand. Medium Pile of Sands contain two bucket fulls of Sand for Crafting Glass.

Snape Grass

Sand Piles

The Sheep

North of the Crafting Guild at the Make-over Mage, is 7 sheep who can be sheared with the Shears in the Top Floor of the Crafting Guild.

People

Master Crafter (Old) – he welcomes you to the guild.

Master Crafter (Adult) – he also welcomes you to the guild.

Master Crafter (Young)

The Fishing guild is located in the heart of Kandarin, just north of Ardougne; it is for members only. You’ll need level 68 fishing to enter. At level 65 you might wish to drink a fishing potion to enter (requires level 50 herblore to make; at level 63 you could eat an admiral pie to qualify (requires level 70 cooking to bake.)

The skills necklace teleport is an easy way for members to arrive just outside the guild door. Simply rub it and choose this guild as the destination. Read the skills necklace items database entry to learn more about making and recharging it.

The Master Fisher is usually just outside the door, and as you enter you will notice the three respawns of fishing equipment; a lobster cage, harpoon and a big fishing net (shown in purple on the map). The range close by is also very convenient, allowing you to cook whatever you fish and gain that cooking xp that you desire. There is a bank in the north-western corner where you can deposit your raw or cooked fish.

The two piers in the fishing guild are the obvious center of activity here. Many fishing spots allow you to catch tuna, lobster, swordfish, shark and more. The Orange spots are where you can one-click for lobster fishing. The green spots are for one-clicking big net fishing. Be aware that the fishing spots come on and off and also move left and right so you can’t just ignore the playing screen. At any one time, you can count on 80% of the spots shown on the map being available. The map accurately depicts the positions of each type of fishing spot. The fishing guild shop close by, run by Roachey, will buy your raw and cooked fish.

The Wizard’s Guild is an enchanted guild that is useful for wizards everywhere. It is for members only. The guild serves as a pleasant place to purchase runes, magic robes, and even to train magic through magical combat. The guild is three floors high, also including a basement. Each floor has something unique that will benefit you in some special way.

——————————————————————————–

The Wizards’ Guild is located around the center of the town of Yanille. Yanille is located south of East Ardougne and east of Castle Wars.

——————————————————————————–

Requirements

No wizard can walk right into the Wizards’ Guild whenever they feel like it, unless they have the proper requirements. To enter the Wizards’ Guild, you are required to have level-66 Magic. If your magic level is under 66, but around 63, then you can enter the guild by using Magic Stat-Boosting items. Items that would fall under that category are: Evil Dave’s Stew with Red Spice (+1 – 6, -1 – 6), Wizard’s Mind Bomb (+1 – 3), Magic Essence potion (+3), and a Magic Potion (+4). If you try to enter the guild without 66-Magic, Wizard Distentor will prevent you from entering.

——————————————————————————–

The Entrance

The entrance to the guild is a simple set of doubled doors. These doors can be found on the east side of the guild’s hexagonal shape. There is also a bell near the entrance. If you cannot enter the guild and need some assistance, ring the bell and Zavistic Rarve will appear. He is the guild’s Grand Secretary and can answer questions concerning the Wizards’ Guild. Zavistic also plays a part in the quests, Zogre Flesh Eaters and The Hand in the Sand.

——————————————————————————–

The Ground Floor

The main points of interest on the ground floor are the people that reside in it. Probably the most popular wizard on the floor is Wizard Distentor. He can teleport players to the Rune Essence mines. Because the Yanille bank is close to the Wizards’ Guild, this is a popular place for players to mine Rune Essence and bank in a short amount of time.

Another interesting person that is on the ground floor is Professor Imblewyn. He is a gnome that is part of the minigame, Gnome Restaurant. If you speak with him, he will tell you about gnomes and their interest in Magic.

There are three more persons that reside on the ground floor. Two of them are attackable level-9 Wizards. They do not talk and can only be killed. The other person is someone you’ve already met: Zavistic Rarve. Whether you speak with him outside or inside of the guild, he still talks about the same things.

——————————————————————————–

The Middle Floor

The middle floor is where all the shopping occurs. There are two stores here: a rune store and a magic robe store. Both stores have the same name, but their stocks are completely different. Also, there are two more level-9 Wizards wandering around. As with the ground floor, you can kill them or leave them alone.

The Robe Store Owner will sell you blue mystic robes that enhance your magic equipment stats. If you would like to buy the whole set, which includes Top, Bottom, Hat, Boots, and Gloves, bring 235,000 coins. Players who have achieved 99-Magic can also come to the Robe Store Owner to buy the Magic Cape of Achievement from him for 99,000 coins.

The Magic Store Owner will sell you runes that are necessary for casting all your spells. He sells every type of rune except Cosmics, Astrals, and Combination Runes, along with the four elemental magic staffs. The Magic Store Owner dresses like the attackable level-9 Wizards, so it might be a little tricky to point him out. However, he does not wear a blue cape nor have buttons on his robe top, so that should help you find him in the wizard crowd.

The Top Floor

The top floor of the Wizards’ Guild is probably the most magical. There is a lot of magical energy flowing through the top. The main attraction on the top floor is the portal system. There are three portals that will teleport you somewhere that is magic related. The East portal will teleport you to the Wizards’ Tower, south of Draynor Village. The South portal will teleport you to the Dark Wizards’ Tower, west of Falador. Finally, the West portal will take you to Thormac the Sorcerer’s House, south of Seers’ Village.

Other than the portals, there isn’t anything else on the top floor that is really interesting. There are three level-9 Wizards that are attackable and two vials that respawn on a table near the west portal.

——————————————————————————–

The Basement

In the southeast corner of the ground floor, there is a ladder. Climb down the ladder to appear in the basement. The basement serves as a training ground. Eight zombies are trapped within a cage and players are to mage them for experience. They are level-24 and respawn very quickly. Wizard Frumscone is in charge of the Zombies. He will make sure you only mage them. If you try to open the gate into the cage, Wizard Frumscone will stop you.

——————————————————————————–

Outside Attractions

In the back of the Wizards’ Guild, there is an open grave. This grave belongs to Clarence, the murdered wizard from the quest, The Hand in the Sand. At the end of that quest, you returned Clarence’s head to Zavistic Rarve. The head is currently in the coffin, but the rest of the body is missing. You can find the remaining body parts after completing the quest, Back to my Roots. Kill the creatures in the Karamja maze for body parts and return all of them to Zavistic. The Wizards’ Guild staff will have a ceremony and lay Clarence to rest. More information can be found in the miniquest guide, Clarence’s Funeral.

The Ourania Rune Altar

My lowest skill just became my second lowest skill!!!

I don’t like runecrafting as you may well be aware if you read this blog regularly, when Jagex brought out the Ourania Rune Altar it sounded interesting so I thought I would take a look.

It is north of the observatory so I used the dueling ring to get to castlewars ran north over the bridges and headed north east I found the Zamorak prayer alter and there was a ladder next to it, I never tried to go down so not sure if you can use it before talking to the Zamorak person next to it, I know Jagex usually like you to chat to people before you enter new places.

When you go down there is a small fairly safe area and there is a bank symbol and a guy wandering around with a backpack, he is a freelance banker and will give you access to your bank for a fee, the fee is 20 runes and you can choose which ones you give him.

There are 2 paths to the Ourania Rune Altar there is a long route and a short route, the long route is indeed a long route and the short route is guarded by the Zamorakian Magical Institute (ZMI), these guards use melee range and magic attacks so you can not be protected from all means of attack with prayer. it is a good idea to use protect from one type of attack and there is a pray alter just outside so you can top up after every trip.

I wore black dragon hide and had a mud staff and didn’t use prayer, all my melee stats are 99 and mage and range in the high 90’s and I still took up to 9 damage on some runs from guards.

Lower level players will take a large amount of damage choosing this route but it can be done.

Tactics
If you have 71 mage and lunar spell book you can use tele to the Ourania Rune Altar and you appear at the end of the path outside the entrance to the alter dungeon, make sure you have full inventory of pure essence and all pouches full, go inside and run the short route to the Rune Altar and craft them, you can then tele to Moonclan island or use dueling ring to castlewars to bank and get more ess then repeat.

I have 88 agility and I ran out of energy after just a few trips, you can either take an energy pot when you bank or do as I did and walk to the runcrafting dungeon and put run on for the run along the tunnel to the alter.

Lower level players can use the bank in the tunnel take a lot of runes that you have surplus and use that as payment get your ess and take the long path to the alter then walk back and repeat.

Rewards
Crafting at this alter needs pure essence, you get one rune per essence and you can get all runes including elemental runes (air, water, earth and fire) you can also get bloods nats and deaths etc. so you will be changing 1 pure ess into an elemental rune, pure ess is 100gp and elemental runes about 20gp so you make a loss, if you craft elemental runes at a normal alter you can get multiple runes per essence, if you get a nat or blood nats are 300gp bloods about 500 you make a slight profit, at 70 rc I was getting more elemental runes than good runes so I made a loss.

You may wonder what the benefit of using this place is.
The main benefit is xp you get a lot of xp per run, I never measured it but I went up a level crafting here a lot quicker than my last level crafting laws the previous fastest crafting xp on Runescape.

I did hear about some people quoting 1.5 x xp crafting here compared to other places and I had a friend quoting 900 to over 1k xp per run at 75+ rc level, he frequents this blog so I hope he adds a comment clarifying this for me.

The Ourania Rune Altar is great for xp perhaps the best in the game but it is not good for your cash flow.

I was bored after one rc level but I will be going back for my other levels.

Obtaining a slayer task

To find out your dedicated slayer master you need to activate your enchanted gem, this is purchased from any of the slayer masters by trading with them and it costs 1gp. when activated this opens up a dialogue with your assigned slayer master, you can ask about fighting tips and how many more monsters you need to kill to complete your task but you can not get another task, you always need to return to them for a new task, there is the option in Lunar magic that you can speak to them remotely and ask for a task but I find normal magic more useful when slaying.

Visit your slayer master and ask for a new assignment, if it is not your slayer master they may say they are too easy for you and recommend you go to another master or they are too hard for you and tell you to go to another slayer master, if it is easier than your allocated slayer master you can still get a task, if the slayer master is too high for you you will not get a task.

Requirements for slayer master
Turael, Burthorpe, 3 combat.
Mazchna, Canafis, 20 combat
Vannaka, Edgeville Dungeon, 40 combat
Chaeldar, Zanaris, 70 combat
Duradel, Shilo, 100 combat and 50 slayer

Tasks
If you get a task from Turael in Burthorp you must do that task, he will not give you anything you can not get to or kill.
If you get a task from the other slayer masters you will not be given tasks that you can not get to but you may get tasks you don’t like doing or don’t feel confident doing, in this situation you can change your task to a task from Tureal, just go and ask him for a new assignment, this is unofficially known as Burthorping, when you get this new assignment you must do it, try to do as many tasks as you can to gain as much experience as possible on each monster but don’t be afraid to burthorpe a task that may take too long or you don’t want to do.

Please visit us again soon for the next exciting installment from the slayer files, Entitled accepting a task.

When is the best time to do a quest

I was helping my son do monkey madness today, he is a level 88 combat he is only 8 and gets stuck on a few things so I was there to guide him along when he needed it.

As he progressed through the quest he got to the stage where he needs to go to crash island and then Ape Attol, I told him to bank everything and go and have a look at the place first to get an idea how dangerous it is.

He had no armour or weapon and didn’t even take any food, he went up to the gates at Ape Attol and was shot and sent to jail, after escaping from jail he spoke to the sergeant who told him to speak to the gnome in the tunnel, he then made a run for it and was shot and sent to jail again, in jail he was low hp and shortly died of poison, as he died another player said lol noob, I found this amusing, Dan had done all he needed to do on that trip, this other player was stuck in jail, had armour on and had not completed that part yet and I bet he used a ring of dueling or runes to get back, not free tele like Dan had and all stats reset.

He returned and got all the stuff he needed from Ape Atol no armour and sweetcorn for food and had the tunnel part to do, I said your likely to die here when I did it I had armour on and was hit so hard that I ate all my lobbies and needed to tele on my first attempt, he had ring of dueling, dentures, monkey amulet and gold bar and a full inventory of sweetcorn. he ran like hell with protect melee prayer on and got to the end after walking half the way with a few corn left over.

He only took armour to kill the monkey demon, I gave him a range pot and he wore blue dragon hide and had a mage shortbow with 130 steel arrows, it took him a few minutes and he was victorious the monkey demon was dead.

This got me thinking that was an easy quest, before I did it I was told it was a hard quest so I got my best armour and best weapon and I struggled and I succeeded, for me that was a major achievement to complete the monkey madness quest and wear a d scimmy, my son did it with no armour and carp food, hardly an achievement just a chore out of the way to use a d scimmy, I am so glad I did it at a lower level, there was a challenge and against all odds I won, a much greater achievement that a higher level player doing it.

If asked when is the best time to do a quest I would say just before you think you can do it, I do all quests now as soon as they come out, unfortunately now I have maxed almost all attack levels no quest is a struggle, the only thing I can strive to do is complete before the guides come out.

What a load of moaners, OMG the worlds going to end! its the end of Runescape as we know it.!

You may be aware that there was an update today, you really couldn’t have missed it, if you did its a way that you can help other lower level players with skills that they can not normally do.

If you read the forums there were hundreds of threads saying OMG levels with no work, an easy game just made easier, level 3 crafting players making full black dragon hide and fury ammies, no need to train skills anymore.

Mass hysteria over a new Runescape update that means the end of the game as we know it.

This new update nothing really has changed with the exception of making it a bit fairer, I often make pots, dragon hide armour and other items for players, all this update does is make the person who wants the items do the work instead of you, as far as I see this is the way it should be, if someone wants me to make 15 full dragon hide sets for them to sell I have the skills to make it, these skills I have worked for and should be rewarded for training them, the other player wants the benefit why should I do the work for their benefit.

People were complaining that low level players can make anything leaving it open for bots to rule the RS world, high level players could get double xp as they train and assist other players.

I would never make a statement in front of other players unless I knew it was true, this mass hysteria was cause by ignorance and people not finding the facts before commenting.

The fact is the system gives no more or no less than you had before, it simply passes the workload over to the people who want the help, this system is flawed and there are problems with it but not the ones that theses people are complaining about, Jagex have a forum for you to tell them what you think, this is currently being ruined by people complaining about things that they do not understand or have not been bothered to investigate.

There are problems, Jagex will listen to the reasonable complaints and moans and ignore the complaints of the ignorant.

The ones I have found so far.

You can not do anything while you are assisting, this is not a problem this is a must to stop the system being abused, the problem arises that when you are helping someone you must be by them, you can not do anything except chat to friends or people around you, it brings up a screen with a list of things you can use to assist the other players, while this screen is up you can not see who is around you, the person you are assisting can go off and you will be sat in this screen unaware that they have gone off, you need to rely on them telling you they are done and this doesn’t always happen.

There is another problem with serial assist abuse, this is when a player seeks assistance from everyone in a bank and just leaves them in the assist window and not doing anything except wasting their training time.

These problems will be sorted by Jagex in time, it is however not helped by the spamming from the ignorant.

If you want to make a comment on the forums please do, but don’t guess what you are commenting on look into it and see the benefits and pitfalls then let them know.
