BEGGING.
Begging is when you ask for something for free from someone you barely know.
If you’ve spent a few weeks chatting and exchanging Runescape tips and getting to know someone, you might have built up enough good will in the relationship to borrow something, and that’s a different story.
I’m talking about the folks who talk to me for 10 minutes or less and are then asking me “is there anything you have that you don’t want that you could give to me?”, “I got hacked/I died, can I have some money/equipment?” and “wow you must have a lot of money, could I borrow 50k?” or the likes. I’ve even been asked by people if I’d pay REAL money for them to become members!!!
You think there’s no big deal in asking the for a few in-game items for free, but know this: the person you’re asking (ie: me) has probably been asked that question by 10 different people already today, and 10 people yesterday and 10 people the day before…
You’re seen as JUST ANOTHER BEGGAR. Beggars are annoying on the game just like they are in Real Life when you’re walking down the street and 5-10 complete or near-complete strangers come up and ask you for change.
Please don’t beg for handouts from me. I’m perfectly willing to give you a “job” cutting wood or mining ores, and I’ll even pay you in cash or equipment (up to and including mith stuff) so you get what you need, but the quickest way to my Ignore list and permanent non-chat status with me is to beg for handouts (ie: anything you didn’t work for).
Begging just is NOT cool.
And in closing, advertising how broke or poor you are isn’t cool either - it’s begging without even having the guts to ask the direct question of “can I have something from you to relieve my broke or poor situation?”
We now return you to your regularly scheduled blogging, and I apologize to you non-beggars out there for having to read this, although I’m sure you agree wholeheartedly with this post.
Behind the Scenes of the Behind the Scenes:
In the coming months, we’ll be making some changes to the Behind the Scenes, offering you a more attractive look and a better idea of upcoming content. So, if you’d like a tour of what we’ve got in store, please read on…
The first change is screenshots. Instead of just telling you about our updates, we’ll be bringing you images of them in glorious technicolour - and in RuneScape HD, of course.
We’ve also got plans to hint about future content, outside of the month’s releases. The ‘glimpse of the future’ section will include handpicked updates that excite us, and that you’ll be excited about too. So, what better way of getting you used to this new feature than producing one for this Behind the Scenes?
Glimpse of the Future (Updates in development and planned for later than August)
One update that just missed this month’s Behind the Scenes was the Clan Wars update. This is a priority for us, and we’ll be releasing it as soon as we feel it is ready, featuring bucketloads of new arenas and game options, plus two ‘free-for-all’ PVP battlegrounds where you can fight in any way you please. Check out the preview of the Clan Wars setup screen below…
The minigame additions don’t just end with Clan Wars: PvP fans will be pleased to know that there are three PvP minigames planned, all coming in the last few months of the year! If you’re more interested in single-player content, however, you can expect a range of updates to keep you busy. One we can mention now: the concluding part of the Spirit of Summer series will be released at the end of the Summer, and it’ll be throwing some pretty daunting obstacles in your way.
There’s room in the Behind the Scenes for your ideas too, so please feel free to suggest features, articles and additions on the Forums. If your ideas are good enough, you may see them in the larger and improved Behind the Scenes, coming soon!
Runescape,Runescape Gold,Runescape Money,Buy Runescape Money - Wallpaper - Barrows Brothers
The Barrows Brothers, six of the most feared undead creatures on RuneScape, were not always the incarnations of evil that they are now. Once, they were the mightiest of Saradomin’s warriors, their fall orchestrated by a mysterious stranger who visited them in the night, bestowing on them powerful gifts that began to corrupt their pure souls.
Even as the darkness within them grew, they fought on into the heart of Morytania. Our latest wallpaper shows them on the eve of their final battle with the darkness of the east - a battle that took their souls…
It’s pretty hard to imagine the first days of RuneScape. For a start, there were no monsters, no Zamorak and no god wars, which would imply that RuneScape was a breeze. Surely you could just wake up, have a cup of tea with Guthix and settle down for some farming. Easy peasy, right?
Erm, no. The first quest of this month, Meeting History, will reveal the struggles that the first settlers faced on RuneScape. This sequel to Making History will encourage you to get more hands-on in your research of the past, giving you insights into the world’s quiet beginnings and its harsh realities. It will even divulge the beginnings of magic and strange objects called ‘runes’.
Man’s knowledge of magic and runes has come on leaps and bounds from the time of Meeting History. Just take a peek at the next release: the Runecrafting Guild!
In the guild, wizards will be bent over books, trying desperately to unlock the secrets of Runecrafting. How is a rune made? Why are yellow and green orbs released when the reaction occurs? For Runecrafting scholars, these questions pale in comparison with the following: which is more significant - green orbs or yellow orbs? For years arguments have raged on, and two wizards will be creating something that’ll end the debate once and for all: the Great Orb Project!
The Great Orb Project will be a fun minigame for two opposing teams who have been given one simple task: collect more orbs than the other team. Only problem is, your opponents will do all they can to stop you winning - including pushing your orbs away before you can get to them! This fast-paced and manic minigame will offer you a great alternative for training your Runecrafting, with minimal fuss, tutorials or complex rules.
Not content with updating one skill this month, we’ve decided to reignite Firemaking too. In Varrock, King Roald has become increasingly wary of the evil eyes casting greedy looks at his city, so he’ll be taking precautions: fourteen warning beacons, running from the River Salve to the western end of the Wilderness. The problem is, no one will be available to test them out, so - surprise, surprise - you’ll become the most suitable candidate.
So begins All Fired Up, a sizzling new quest that acts as a simple and very short tutorial for beacon lighting. What can you do with large cauldrons full of sticks, you may ask? Well, your task, if you should choose to accept it, will be to light as many as possible at one time, offering you an entertaining and alternative method for training your Firemaking - oh, and the rewards will make you the toast of firemakers everywhere…

There are many different Random Events in Runescape. They were originally invented to help stop the cheaters. Their levels are reasonable to the player that they are after, and they give plenty of time to get away. However, if you are using a macro, you have little to no chance of life. That was their idea as a solution to the problem, but of course as everything else, it has grown into other things. You might still see the occasional Rock Golem, Tree Spirit, or River Troll , every once in awhile.
Of course, now they have plain out Random Events rather than just when you’re using a skill. Some of the more common ones around Runescape are the frogs, the Freaky Forester, The Genie, The Sandwich Lady, and The Security Guard. There are a lot of different ones, but let’s start with these.
The frogs will give you different things, if your a man, you will get prince clothes and a frog’s head (a mask), and if you are a woman you will get a princess outfit and a frog head mask. These can be gotten from the Varrok clothes shop using a frog coin.
For the Freaky Forester, simply do as he says and you will get some rather interesting clothes.
The Genie is a simple talk and get event, its one of my personal favorites. He will give you a magic lamp, which you can rub and get experience, points in the skill of your choice.
The Sandwich lady will offer you a specific sort of food, if you ignore her or pick the wrong one, you will be sent far away.
Then of course, the Security Guard. I have seen loads of these, If you ignore him it will be a battle, if you answer to him he will give you a strong hold book, and maybe some sort of gift, personally I prefer the battle, usually I just get close to killing him then he disappears.
The Drill Demon is a fun Runescape Random Event, he will give you a nice work out, and if you succeed, you will get some really cool army clothes. If you have the full outfit you will get coins.
If you happen upon a Strange Plant and pick its Strange Fruit, you have a fruit that will give back 30% energy and even remove poison just like an Anti-poison potion! If you don’t pick the fruit, the plant will attack and poison you, the poison doing two damage per strike.
You use to be able to fight with the Swarm of Bees, but now all you can do is stand there taking their easy hits of 1 and 2, or of course just walk away. Grab the evil twin is a very fun Random Event, where you have to use a claw to choose the twin of Molly. You only get two tries, so choose carefully!
There are a lot more Random Events out there, like the rock that shoots out bubbles. If you keep mining it, the rock will blowup and your picaxe will break. Alternatively, the Whirlpool on fishing. If you keep fishing, your equipment will be sucked underwater.
I have found that Random Events are more likely to happen when you are doing something (mining, smithing, killing, and so on) then when you are just standing around. Of course, they do happen when you’re just standing, but they happen to me a lot more when I am doing something. Good luck out there, if you happen to meet the Evil Chicken, I would suggest Protection from Magic, as it uses Magic - runescape-blog.com instead of meelee. Happy Playing!
Over the years, I have heard hundreds upon hundreds of Runescape Wilderness tips. A lot of them have just been repeated over and over until the information is just common knowledge. So first I will share what I do when I plan to PK, then I will move on to some other Runescape Wilderness tips.
When I am preparing to go to the wilderness I first will put on a Rune platebody, some Rune Platelegs, and a Rune Scimitar. These are my “three things” that you cannot loose unless you’re skulled. Then I head over to the Grand Exchange and buy about 100 Tuna Fish. They are cheap, and heal a fair amount of health. I will grab any other items I may need and then fill the rest of the inventory with the Tuna. Normally I am venturing out there to kill Greater Demons, and the rules pretty much are the same for when I am PKing. I almost never attack someone. That will get you skulled and then you risk it all. However, if you can find someone, normally they will attack you. If they do not attack you right off, brag about how nooby they are and tell them to prove their power. Anything you can to get them skulled and not you. Now, if you see a guy with about half of his health bar down, and you know you can beat him, go ahead and attack. But be weary, you never know who is lurking in the shadows.
Now let me give you some tips I have heard through the ages.
Back when I was a lower level, I said I was going to go PKing, and they told me to wait and get level 25 prayer. This will allow you to keep one extra item. I really don’t use this prayer anyways, but it’s a good skill to have just in case. I have also heard that even if you have a skull on your head it will protect an item. I will have to look into this; maybe I could have been saving all those rune scimitars I lost, Haha.
Another good idea would be to wear ranger’s armor if you’re a meelee. You would be safe from Mages, and a lot of PKers are mages now. But you might want to keep a spare plate body, just incase some ranger came out of the darkness.
I would recommend getting about 45 prayer so that you will be able to use protection spells incase of an attack. Once they see that little symbol pop up, they will know they are doomed.
If you can get a group of friends that you can trust, group PK’s are definitely the best. I remember once I was out in the wilderness and all of a sudden on my map a flood of people, probably at least 70 of them were rushing at me. They were all in pink skirts and I was dead so fast that they all didn’t even get there yet.
If you have ever heard of the Muddy Chest and you are wondering where it is in the Runescape Wilderness, then you have come to the right place. The Muddy Chest can be located in the Lava Maze right in the center. Watch out for the Lesser Demons that prowl around there. The chest can be opened by one key, and only one key. The key is called the Muddy Key. You can obtain one from killing the Chaos Dwarfs. The chest will contain random items such as an anchovy pizza, an uncut gem, so on so fourth.
Now, that you know some tips about the Runescape Wilderness, why not get out there and try them? Never know what you will find out there. Happy PKing, haha.

The Ultimate Runescape Gold Guide - Part Four
…monsters who can deal quite a bit of damage (not just the 1 hit and occasional 2 hits you can take off a goblin). These fighters need quick HP boosts, and so Sharks are just the answers.
Sharks are hard to fish, but just think about it. If you spend your time, trying to fish and cook 1,000 sharks, but the end of it, you’ll have sharks equivalent to 1,000,000GP (1 mill). Good, yes?
Ok, so maybe it’ll take you too long to get to that kinda level. Alright, alright, let me explain to you a few easier ways of making your money in Runescape.
Right, now that you’ve had the major ways of making GP, there are also ways for people who are relatively inexperienced, and don’t have high levels in any major skill. If this is the case, then I suggest resorting to selling food. “Selling food?!†you say? Yes. Have you ever been to the Wilderness? Have you seen all the hungry, dying people? Thought you’d say yes. Well, they all need food for fightin’, so it would be wise of you to supply that demand for food now wouldn’t it?
The reason why I say you don’t need much level for this is because there are people who are just about any level fighting in the Wilderness. So, no matter if you’ve just got cooked meat, or lobsters, you’ll still be able to sell it off if the price is right. Remember, that because you’re providing food just a step outside of the Wilderness, you can charge inflated prices, but don’t go too far with your prices, people can just go to to Varrock east bank and buy some lobsters from local lobster sellers down there.
When I say inflated prices, I mean you can get away with charging more than double what it’s worth. For example, if I were to fish and cook a load of lobsters, they would usually in any other place be worth around 150-200GP each, but the fact that your outside the Wilderness means you can charge more, so you could get away with charging 300-400GP each if they’re desperate.
I suggest you find a food that isn’t too hard to cook, and replenishes a good amount of HP. Normally, a type of fish is good for this, but if you can’t be bothered to get your fishing level up, then stick with something simple, meat stew maybe?
They strive to offer the fastest and most reliable service on the web for all your gaming needs. Feel free to contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone, live chat and email. They work hard with their suppliers to offer the lowest prices they can. If you find a lower price somewhere please let them know and they will try their hardest to match it.

Troll Stronghold
Difficulty: Hard
Length: Medium
Members only: Yes
Reward:
• 1 quest point
• Law Talisman
Start: Denulth, head of the Army, located in Burthorpe.
Needed skills: Level 15 Agility. Level 30 Thieving is an advantage.
You will need to be able to hold your own against trolls, which can hit over 40! Also, Prayer 43+, prayer potion and good armor/weapon is an advantage!
Needed quests: Death Plateau
Needed items:
Climbing boots (can be bought for 12gp during the quest).
Walkthrough
Ask Denulth “How goes your fight with the trolls?”. Then ask him if you can help him. Lastly, tell him that you will help.
2. Go toward the trolls area, but when you see a path going south, follow it. Buy some climbing boots from Tenzing if you don’t have any. Now, follow the path toward the north.
3. You’ll see some rocks that you can climb. Climb them. Now, head east. There will be lots of rocks to climb. When you come to the gate, go through it. You will then have to fight Dad, which is in combat level 101. Ranging or Magic is way better than melee, since he will throw you away with his club lots of times.
This is a good way to kill “Dad” with magic or ranging, as he won’t be able to hit back!
4. Now, go out of the other gate. Go through the dungeon, and exit it. Now, you will come to a large mace. Just walk AROUND it, until you are on the other side of the maze. Go out of the maze (west), and you will come to a kind of troll marketplace. Cross the marketplace, and enter the Stronghold.
5. When you’ve entered the stronghold, go south, then throgh a wooden door to the west. Here, you will see some Troll Generals (level 113). Kill one of them, and pick up the Prison Key it will drop.
6. Now, go out the wooden door again, and walk to the north. Now, go down the stairs. Again, you some stairs leading down to another floor, which is behind a wooden door. Go down these stairs.
7. Go south, and you will see a prison, with two trolls guarding two cells, where there are two men. Pickpocket both of the trolls, and open the two cell doors. Note that if you fail to pickpocket, the troll will wake up and attack you, so be ready.
8. Head south, and go throgh the exit. Now, go southeast, and you will come back to the secret way leading to Tenzing’s Hut. Go back to Denulth to claim your reward. He will tell you to see Dunstan, which is located north-east of Burthorpe (the city you’re in now). He will give you a family heirloom: A law talisman. You can now craft Law Runes! (If you have high enough Runecrafting level)
