Level 1-35
Level 1 is the starting point for all great woodcutters. At this level, you can cut normal and evergreen trees. Members can use the regular logs they obtain from such trees, to fletch arrow shafts. A good spot to train for non-members is by draynor manor with the forest of dead trees. At level 15, you can chop oak trees. However, these can be a little slow, so if you stay around the same general area of Draynor woods, you can interchange between regular trees and oaks. At level 25, you should now be able to chop oaks fast enough; continue chopping in the forest just east of Draynor. At level 30, you can chop willows, but continue with oaks until around level 35 - allowing you to chop willows faster. Members should consider training in McGrubor’s Woods, as it is not crowded and the trees are more spread out.

Level 36-60
From level 36, you should be able to chop willows fast enough. For Free players, the best place to chop and bank your willows is Draynor Village, just south of the bank. For Members, you can go past the willows outside the Barbarian Assault mini game, as there are eight willow trees, accompanied by a deposit box just inside the mini game. Willow logs can be a very good money-maker for lower levels, making up to 25k per hour. Other good spots include South of Rimmington, West of Port Sarim, East of Port Sarim, and beside the Champions’ Guild. Unfortunately these spots are second-rate, due to the fact that there are no nearby banks. However, if you are dropping or burning your logs as you go, these places are never crowded, so are far better than Draynor. For members, there are also large amounts of willow trees located by the Lady of the Lake, in Taverley. Once again, there is no bank handy for banking logs, so this spot is better for people burning or dropping their logs.
Members can also cut maple trees at level 45. Maples don’t give quite as good experience as willows, but if you are cutting for money, fletching or firemaking, then these will give a bonus over willows in that they give more experience when fletched or burned, and sell for more. Members can make use of the massive maple tree plantation north of Seers Village, or the smaller grove just above the Seers’ Village Bank. There are also several trees scattered elsewhere around Seers’ Village, if you don’t mind running around a bit. Barbarian Outpost has four willow trees, and a deposit box for banking them. They are quiet, but the lack of a proper bank may put some people off.
Free players: Willows are the best experience for free players, even at higher levels.

Members: You can continue with willows past level until yews or you can swap over to Maple Trees, in Seers Village, and outside Sinclair Mansion. If you are only chopping for Woodcutting experience, willows give the best experience until, like Free players, you can chop yews quickly. Use a Games Necklace to quickly teleport to the Barbarian Assault mini game.

Level 60-75

At level 60, you can now chop yew trees. Trying to do so at this level, though, is utterly pointless. The only reason you would even bother is if you are after money; however, yew logs only make around 30k-45k an hour at level 60, so it’s really not worth it. There are four locations where free players can chop yews easily. These four free world locations are Edgeville, North of Varrock Castle, South of Falador and North-East of Rimmington (this image is not detailed below) as detailed in the image below. These are also less-crowded, but more out-of-the-way locations; North-East of Port Sarim, East of Draynor Village, East of Varrock, and in Lumbridge Churchyard.

Members have a few more options for chopping yews, namely the very popular grove of trees at Catherby, and the three churchyard trees in Seers’ Village, as shown in the image below. There are some other less-crowded spots as well, including several Yew trees in the Tree Gnome Stronghold and Zanaris, as well as a large number in the Piscatoris hunting area.

Perhaps one of the better options, Yew trees are present in the Gnome Stronghold, underneath the central bank. There are a total of 3 Yew trees; on top of that, there is a Farming spot where Trees may be planted. With a Farming level of 60, a player may plant a Yew tree at this spot, allowing them to chop 4 Yew trees. The main advantage is that it is extremely close to a bank; the bank is literally on top of the trees.

After completing the quest Rocking Out, you can use your locker in Rimmington to deposit the yew logs you cut.Free players: If you are only after money, you can begin chopping yews. Otherwise, stick with willows if you are after experience. At level 70, woodcutting yews picks up a bit, although not enough to outrun willows in the experience per hour department.

Members: Once again, if you are only after money, you can start chopping yews now. However, it’s advisable to continue to train on willows, or maples, until at least level 75, which is the earliest time where you can chop yews easily. A good place to cut willows or maples is north of the Seers bank or outside the Barbarian Outpost.

Level 76-99
You are an expert at woodcutting at this point. You can chop every log in the game, and you can do it well. You should know the best places to chop whatever it is you are after, but we’ll cover some good magic tree locations all-the-same.
At level 75, members can chop magic trees. However, if you are after experience, stay with willows. Even at level 80, magic trees are very slow. The magic tree areas are often crowded, so you also have to put up with that if you decide to chop magic trees for money. You would be better off chopping yews until at least level 85 before you begin trying to chop magic trees. The best places to cut magic trees are south-west of Lletya, south-west of Seers Village (near the Rangers’ Guild), outside Thormac the Sorcerer’s Tower, and at the Mage training area.

Free players: The best trees free players can chop are yews, and the best locations for yews are outlined in the previous section.

Members: Stick with yews until at least level 85, which is the earliest chopping magic trees becomes a speedy option. Even then they are not ‘fast’ though. Until 85, yew trees will deliver some decent money, and willows will give you the best experience.

A lot of players are also cutting willow logs for very fast experience, yet the profit isn’t that high. While cutting willows, you can get bird nests faster and you can sell the seeds, or either plant them yourself. To get more money, crush your bird nests and sell them to herblorists. The best place is now next to Barbarian Assault, as the deposit box is really close to the trees.

Beyond the Runecrafting Guild, this update brings you a few small things that should make your lives easier…

Kazgar, Mistag and Dartog have been given right-click options so you can quickly ask them to guide you through the Lumbridge Swamp Caves. Elkoy, the guide from the Tree Gnome Village maze, has been given a similar option.

When you previously right-clicked on a chat message from another player, you were always offered the option to ‘Add friend’ and ‘Add ignore’. If that player was already on your Friends list, those options weren’t very useful, so we’ve replaced them with a new ‘Message’ option. This is identical to what would happen if you clicked on your friend in your Friends List. (This is not available on Quick Chat-only worlds.)

Tai Bwo Wannai village welcomes its newest arrival, Imiago. If you’ve completed Jungle Potion, he’ll be willing to protect your calquat trees from disease in exchange for eight poison ivy berries.

The gardeners who protect bush patches have always demanded payment to look after poison ivy bushes. It’s been pointed out on the Forums that poison ivy bushes never get diseased anyway, so the gardeners no longer offer to look after them.

Ever since a brave adventurer rediscovered Runecrafting, mages from the Wizards’ Tower have been working hard to figure out its intricacies. In fact, so many have been drawn to Runecrafting’s secrets that a guild has formed.

Not everything is rosy and happy in the guild. An argument has raged over the magical reaction that creates rune stones: are green or yellow orbs more important in the process? Agree to resolve their conflict and you’ll find yourself in our newest minigame, The Great Orb Project!

The purpose of this team-based minigame is very simple: collect more coloured orbs than the opposing team. Watch out, though, as they will be pushing your orbs out of the way to stop you winning. This frenetic minigame offers few rules and a great alternative to conventional Runecrafting - all with a range of rewards, of course. Expect rune essence, Runecrafting XP and new magical equipment if you wipe the floor with your opponents.

The Runecrafting Guild also offers a number of features that are not tied to the minigame. The rune altar map helpfully shows the location of all altars; one mad wizard has learned how to repair abyssal pouches; and the head of the guild is working on a marvellous omni-talisman that combines the powers of all existing talismans into one.

Note that the guild is available to both free players and members - the Runecrafters want all the help they can get!

Summary

Witch’s House
Difficulty: Easy
Length: Short
Members only: Yes

Reward:
• 4 quest points
• 6325 Hitpoints experience.

Start: Go to the boy located in Taverley, and ask him what’s wrong. He will say he kicked his ball in the Witch’s Garden, say you will help him. Go now to the main Door of the Witch’s House, and search the pot which is next to the door. (You will get a key, and then go in.)

Needed skills: You will need to defeat a Shape shifter who gets better each time you kill it. You need to kill the monster 4 times (level 19, 33, 47, 54)

Needed items:
Some piece of cheese (any food shop or in Aggie’s house in Draynor (the witch)
Leather Gloves
All items you think you need for killing the 4 creatures. Armour, weapon, food and maybe potions depending on your level.

Walkthrough
1. Go upstairs (it’s near the door), In that room you will find the Witch’s Diary, take it and read it.

2. Climb down and head over to a ladder going down. Go thorough the gate, open and search the wall cupboard for a magnet. (Make sure you are wearing a pair of Gloves before you open it or you will get hit a lot of damage.)

3. Then read the whole diary one more time before climbing up. Go through the Door opposite of the Ladder and drop your cheese on the floor there (make sure you drop it in the space between the two Doors), a Rat should now pup-up. NOW, and quickly use the Magnet with the rat. (You may have to do this several times since the Rat disappears very quickly, so it’s a great idea to bring more then one piece of cheese.)

4. Open the the door and walk into the Garden. WATCH OUT FOR THE WITCH, LOOK AT THE MAP. When the Witch is coming, hide behind a Hedge, and don’t move until she walks by, and then run to the next Hedge. Take you good time and repeat the last step after she walks by. Do that until you get to the fountain.

5. Now it’s important that you read her Diary at least one time before checking the Fountain or you will not get the Shed Key. After you got the Key still hide behind Hedges until you reach the Shed, open it and grab the Ball, the Witches Experiment (Level 19) will attack you before turning into a Level 33 Spider then into a level 47 Bear then finally a level 54 wolf. After you have defeated the wolf take the Ball, keep hiding behind Hedges until you reach the House, open the Door and go out. Go back to the boy and talk to him for your reward.

It’s pretty hard to imagine the first days of RuneScape. For a start, there were no monsters, no Zamorak and no god wars, which would imply that RuneScape was a breeze. Surely you could just wake up, have a cup of tea with Guthix and settle down for some farming. Easy peasy, right?

Erm, no. The first quest of this month, Meeting History, will reveal the struggles that the first settlers faced on RuneScape. This sequel to Making History will encourage you to get more hands-on in your research of the past, giving you insights into the world’s quiet beginnings and its harsh realities. It will even divulge the beginnings of magic and strange objects called ‘runes’.

Man’s knowledge of magic and runes has come on leaps and bounds from the time of Meeting History. Just take a peek at the next release: the Runecrafting Guild!

In the guild, wizards will be bent over books, trying desperately to unlock the secrets of Runecrafting. How is a rune made? Why are yellow and green orbs released when the reaction occurs? For Runecrafting scholars, these questions pale in comparison with the following: which is more significant - green orbs or yellow orbs? For years arguments have raged on, and two wizards will be creating something that’ll end the debate once and for all: the Great Orb Project!

The Great Orb Project will be a fun minigame for two opposing teams who have been given one simple task: collect more orbs than the other team. Only problem is, your opponents will do all they can to stop you winning - including pushing your orbs away before you can get to them! This fast-paced and manic minigame will offer you a great alternative for training your Runecrafting, with minimal fuss, tutorials or complex rules.

Not content with updating one skill this month, we’ve decided to reignite Firemaking too. In Varrock, King Roald has become increasingly wary of the evil eyes casting greedy looks at his city, so he’ll be taking precautions: fourteen warning beacons, running from the River Salve to the western end of the Wilderness. The problem is, no one will be available to test them out, so - surprise, surprise - you’ll become the most suitable candidate.

So begins All Fired Up, a sizzling new quest that acts as a simple and very short tutorial for beacon lighting. What can you do with large cauldrons full of sticks, you may ask? Well, your task, if you should choose to accept it, will be to light as many as possible at one time, offering you an entertaining and alternative method for training your Firemaking - oh, and the rewards will make you the toast of firemakers everywhere…

Treasure Trail Armors

Hove you ever wondered how to get a piece of fancy-looking armor with trimming on it, or how much these armors may cost? These treasures are said to be rare, since there’s only a possibility of obtaining a piece after completing a Members-Only Treasure Trail.

• 5 blood runes
• 10 mist runes (air+water)
• 10 lava runes (fire+earth)
• Combat equipment (food, weapons, armour, potions, etc)

Walkthrough
Starting
Bring 50 gp (or ring of charos) with you for the beginning; a charged glory amulet would be helpful too. Walk north west along the side of the southern fence of the gnome stronghold to an area with a boat and two people [map].

Talk to Kathy Corkat and persuade her to take you on the boat. Either give her the 50 gp or charm her with the ring. Once there, walk a little north and talk to Herman Caranos.

A Colony in Need
Herman will tell you that the colony has been over run by trolls and that he is in search of an adventurer who will aid him in getting rid of the trolls. Though your offer is a good one, he tells you that he is looking for none other than the Wise Old Man of Draynor Village. He will also offer you to see a cutscene which displays some of the Old Man’s previous escapades. It’s a good cutscene so see it. Now it is time to head out to Draynor Village (or teleport with an amulet of glory).

The Wise Old Man of Draynor
Talk to him and ask him about the quest. He will agree to go on the quest, but he says he needs supplies. He needs 5 blood runes, 10 mist runes, and 10 lava runes. Get them and give them to him. He tells you to prepare and meet him at the colony. And… whoop! He teleports away. Get your equipment and walk back to the fishing colony.

Trolls!
This time you will the the Wise Old Man there instead of Herman; talk to him. Walk in and a cutscene will take place in which a number of sea trolls will come and attack the two of you. Show those trolls what a real adventurer is made of.

Note that the Wise Old Man will run out of runes. When this happens, he will throw rocks or hit the trolls with his staff.

The Piscatoris Fishing Colony
Once you defeat the trolls that come, open the gate and there will be another cutscene. Talk to Franklin to learn that Herman is in the east side of the camp. Go there, find Herman, and talk to him. He will tell you that you need to help prepare the defences of the colony, and that you should talk to Franklin and Arnold.

Franklin - Wall Repair
Franklin is right near the entrance of the colony. He will tell you that you need to replace some of the walls on the western side of the colony. Walk just east of Franklin and pick up the axe and pickaxe.

Walk outside of the colony and there will be a mine right near the hole that you must climb in/out of. Mine 5-10 (or more) iron ores and chop down one of the dead trees there to get some logs. Smelt your ores into bars using the small furnace in the room with the press. Use your logs and tinderbox with the firebox at the eastern end of the press. Now use your 5 iron bars with the press to make 5 iron sheets. Watch your fingers! Remember to talk to Franklin for a hammer.

Go over to the western fence; the fence that needs to be repairs is marked in red on the mini map, just like a door. Use your iron sheets with the broken walls. Talk to Franklin again when you are done.

Arnold - Fresh Fish
Arnold is easy to locate. He is in the center of the colony, in the building with the bank and store symbols on it. He tells you that if someone doesn’t do something, the colony will run out of food and starve. It’s up to you to go and fish some fresh monkfish. He wants 5. Walk to the north western side of the colony, find the fishing spot, and start fishing with the net provided.

Be prepaired to fight since three sea trolls will appear while you are fishing. They are levels 69, 87, and 101. Not much of a problem though. Get 5 monkfish and talk to Arnold. He wants them cooked so cook them on the range, which is in the south west side of the colony.

Note: Fresh Monkfish only heal 1 hp.

The Piscatoris Army
Herman and the Wise Old Man say that you need to gather an army for the colony, and that this can be accomplished by talking to the Wizard Frumscone in the magic guild for zombies.

Teleport or walk to Yanille, and talk the Frumscone, he is on the bottom level of the guild. He will tell you that he won’t do it, but he knows someone who will. Frumscone directs you to the necromancer Malignius Mortifer, who is a little south of Falador.

Mortifer will tell you that he will do it, just as long as you bring him some items. The first is 7 normal bones. Go to any place around here for them. A couple of good locations for bones would be the crafting guild cows (west of Mortifer) or the chickens at the farm (north east of Mortifer). Get him his bones and he will tell you the next item, which is a way to carry the bone seeds for the army. He will give you a brown apron for you to wear to get into the guild. If you kept your pick axe from earlier in the quest, it will save you some time.

Talk to a master crafter to get the answer, a pot with a lid. If the master crafter you talk to doesn’t want to tell, ask a different one. Anyways, mine two pieces of clay and make a pot and a lid. Give your airtight pot to Mortifer. He will give you your seeds and whoop! He will teleother you to the colony. Talk to Herman again and the Wise Old Man will ask you if you are ready for battle.

This battle is no joke so bring food, armor, and potions. Don’t forget your teleport runes!! A holy wrench, if you have one, would be useful.

The Final Battle
A big cutscene takes place of the last battle between you and your army and the trolls. The summoned army easily defeats the trolls, but a larger troll general appears.

Prepair to laugh as the Wise Old Man defeats the general, Wise Old Man Style.

With the defeat of the general, the biiig, evil troll queen appears. She uses a combination of strong magic and melee so protect from magic and either range (protections a little less necissary) or melee with good metal armor. If you decide to use melee, bring plenty of prayer potions and lobsters+ (sharks are best) and keep your prayer up the whole time. The queen drains your prayer so bringing prayer potions is essential if you’re praying.

Finishing Up
Once it is dead, talk to Herman. He and the Wise Old Man will both reward you. It’s a shame he doesn’t give you his hat. Quest complete!

Reward:
• 3 quest points
• 2000 gp
• 1406 Crafting XP

Start: Sinclair Mansion, located northwest of Seer’s Village [map].

Needed items:
• Pot (Buyable from a general store)

Walkthrough
1. To start the quest, talk to the guard outside the mansion. He tells you that Lord Sinclair has been murdered. Tell him that you’ll help.

2. Enter the mansion, go to the room in the east, then north. You should now be in a room with a dagger, a pot and a smashed window.

Investigate the smashed window, and take the Pungent pot and Criminal’s Dagger.

3. Go outside the house, and go to the west of it, where the dog is. Investigate the Sturdy wooden gate.

4. Now, go out of the gate at the south, and follow the road to the south until you see a Gossip. Talk to him, and ask him who he thinks was the responsible. He tells you that the poison salesman made a big sale to one of the Sinclair family members.

5. Continue to the south, until you see the Poison Salesman. Talk to him, and ask him who he sold the poison to. He tells you that he managed to sell a bottle to each of the Sinclairs. Then, show him the Pungent pot you found earlier in the quest.

6. Head back to the mansion, and talk to each of the children that bought the poison: Bob, Anna, Frank, David, Carol and Elizabeth. Ask them about the poison. After you talk to each of them, investigate each of the places they have told you they used the poison on:
Bob - Beehive. It is located where the cows are.
Anna - The compost, which is west of the entrance of the house.
Frank - Family Crest on the southern wall of the house, east of the entrance.
David - Spider’s Nest upstairs, in the southern part.
Carol - Drain outside the house, on the western part of the southern wall.
Elizabeth - Fountain in the eastern part of the garden.
There is one place where there’s no poison used. This means that one of the persons you asked are lying.

7. The thread you took earlier in the quest has the same color as your culprint. You will now need to find the barrel that belongs to your culprint. Two are downstairs, and the rest is upstairs. You know the name of the person owning the barrel, since each barrel has it’s own name. You will find an item hidden in the barrel.

8. Go outside again, and go to the room at the north-western part of the house (the entrance is outside). Investigate the sacks, and you will find some flypaper. You will need 2 of them.

9. Go inside, to the Cook’s room, which is located north-west in the building. Take from the barrel of flour. Use some flour on the Criminal’s dagger. Then, use the dagger on a flypaper. Take some more floor, and use it on the object you found earlier, in the barrel. Then, use that object with a flypaper. Use the two fingerprints with each other, and you will find that they match exactly.

10. Go outside again, and talk to the guard where you started the quest. Tell him that you know who did it. You will show all evidences, and then you will complete the quest. Congratulations!

Agility is the skill which allows you to clear dangerous obstacles, granting access to new areas and use of shortcuts. Agility is also used to recover energy spent on running.

The higher your Agility level, the more quickly you will regain energy, and thus run for longer. The more weight you carry, the more quickly your running energy will decrease, so it is recommended to keep your weight low whilst training Agility.

The first step to keeping your weight low is to not wear anything unnecessary: only wear or carry those items that may prove to be handy when training Agility, such as food or energy potions. Secondly, there are some items in the game that can reduce your weight (e.g. Boots of lightness or the Hunting Spotted and Spotier capes). For more information on items that reduce your weight, please take a look at the Transportation Guide.

Gnome Stronghold

The first agility course is to the northwest of Ardougne in the Gnome Stronghold. If you have completed the Tree Gnome Village Quest you can use the Spirit Trees to teleport to the Gnome Stronghold faster. This course runs in a square so it is best to start at the beginning (the log by the entrance) and go counter-clockwise.

Object Experience Gained
Log 7.5
Obstacle net 7.5
Tree branch 5
Balancing rope 7.5
Tree branch 5
Obstacle net 7.5
Obstacle pipe 7.5

The obstacles on this course can’t be failed. When you complete this course, you receive a completion bonus of 45, for a total of 86.5 agility exp.

Walkthrough
Chapter 1
1. To start the quest, talk to King Narnode Shareen in the Grand Tree [map]. He tells you that the 10th Squad of the Royal Guard has disappeared. Tell him that you are going to help you to start the quest.

2. Climb up to the top of the Grand Tree, and take the Gnome glider to Karamja. Head north until you reach the shipyard entrance. Try entering the ship yard, and a guard will stop you. Show him the Gnome Royal Seal, and he will let you enter the shipyard. Once you are in the shipyard, speak to G.L.O. Caranock. He tells you that the 10th squad has never reached the shipyard.

In the next steps, you will need Gold Bar, Ball of wool, Monkey bones/corpse, the potions, the fighting equipment, including food, and the teleportation.
3. Head back to the Grand Tree, and talk to King Narnode Shareen again. He tells you that you must speak with Daero, who is upstairs in the Grand Tree.

4. After giving the orders to Daero, he tells you that you are to be taken south of Karamja. When speaking to him, go through all of the options. When you have done so, select the “Leave…” option, and Daero will blindfold you and take you to the Flight Commander Waydar.

5. You will be taken to the Underground Military Glider Hangar. Talk to Daero again, who introduces you to Waydar. After speaking with them, head a bit south-east and search the crate next to the reinitialisation panel.

When you search the crate, you’ll discover that it’s full of spare controls. You can take one, so you can view the solution to the puzzle that you need to complete. To do the puzzle, operate the Reinitialisation panel (which is next to the crate).

If you’re unable to solve the puzzle, you can pay Glough 200K (he is located in his house southeast of the entrance of the Grand Tree).

6. After you’ve solved the puzzle, talk to Waydar. He tells you that you should have food, and says that the local creature are poisonous. If you don’t have all the items, you can go to the south of the hangar, and use the portal to exit it. You will be taken to the Gnome Stronghold.

7. You land on an island, where you will see several crashed gnome gliders, and a gnome called Lumdo. He refuses to take you to the Ape Atoll, so speak to Waydar, and tell him that you cannot convince Lumdo to take you to the island. After speaking to them, you will see a small cutscene.

Chapter 2
8. You are now on the Ape Atoll. Beware of the poisonous snakes and spiders in the area, and head to the north-west [map]. You will be shot by some monkey archers, and sent to a jail.

9. When the gorilla guard is not close to the door, picklock it. You now have to leave the jail. When the guards goes away, run after it to leave the jail.

10. When you’ve managed to get out of the jail, head north. Remember to avoid the poisonous animals there, as they will poison you and hit very high. Turn on your protect from range to avoid getting hit by the monkey archers, then head east, and then south, to find Garkor, the Sergeant.

Garkor tells you to see the squad’s mage, Zooknock.

11. Turn on your protection from missiles, and head to the house south in Marim.

Don’t go to the center of the house - be sure to stay close to the walls. Search the crate closest to the trapdoor, east in the room.

Then, search the south-eastern crate, and you will discover that there is a hole in it. Climb down, and go to a crate to the north-west. Search it to find a monkey amulet mould.

12. Turn on your protection from missiles, and head south, past the graveyard, and climb up the bamboo ladder.

Then, head south, and you should meet Lumdo again. Don’t talk to him, but head west to a dungeon, which should be shown on the mini-map as an exclamation mark.

13. This dungeon is fairly dangerous. Sometimes, your screen shake and you will hear a rumbling sound. When this happens, run under one of the ledges, otherwise you’ll be hit a few hp. Also, you should have plenty of food, and preferably some energy potions.

When you’ve entered the dungeon, follow the tunnel to the east. Head north, and follow the tunnel all the way to Zooknock, who is at the end of the whole dungeon. Speak to him, and when you have done so, use the gold bar, monkey bones/corpse, the monkey denture and the monkey amulet mould with him (do not bury the bones!).

14. Get back to the surface. It is suggested that you teleport to Al Kharid, fill up your inventory with fresh food and full potions, take the glider to the Grand Tree, talk to Daero and get back to the Crash Island. Ask Lumdo to bring you to the Ape Atoll, and head north-west on the island to get in jail.

15. Get out of the jail, and head to the temple. When you enter it, you should turn the Protect from Melee on.

Climb down the trapdoor, and go either north or south, and you’ll see a large wall of flame. Use the gold bar on it to get the Monkeyspeak amulet (M’speak amulet). Climb up the ladder again, and go back toward the jail.

16. Go to a house just west of the jail [map]. Wait until the the Monkey’s aunt leaves the place, and talk to the monkey child. You should talk to the child just after the aunt has left.

You tell the child that you are his uncle, and he will say that his aunt asked him to get bananas. Keep sure that the aunt isn’t coming, and pick 5-6 bananas and give them to the child. Then, ask the child if you could borrow his toy, which is a monkey talisman.

17. Now, head back to the dungeon where the squad’s mage, Zooknock, is. Use the monkey talisman with Zooknock. He will give you a Monkey greegree, and then you will see a cutscene where Waydar and G.L.O. Caranock are talking.

Chapter 3
18. Get out of the dungeon again. Now, you can use the monkey greegree to get out of the dungeon without being attacked. It is, however, probably faster to teleport to Al-Kharid, take the glider to the Grand Tree and repeat everything to get back to the Ape Atoll.

19. When you’re back on the Ape Atoll, hold the Monkey greegree. Now, you won’t be attacked by the various poisonous animals on the island, nor the monkey archers! Enter where you used to enter, and open the bamboo gate to enter the city of Marim. Then, head to Garkor and talk to him.

20. Talk to one of the guards, who won’t let you in. Then, head to the other site of Marim, and talk to Kruk.

Tell Kruk that you wish to talk to Awowogei, and he will escort you to him.

21. Speak to Awowogei, and you will propose an alliance. Awowogei will ask you to free one of the monkeys that are in the Ardougne zoo. Go out of Awowogei’s house, make sure that you are somewhere in safety, and teleport to Ardougne.

22. Go to the Ardougne Zoo and hold the Monkey greegree, and talk to the Monkey Minder, who thinks that you are a monkey trying to escape. He puts you in the cage. Talk to one of the monkeys. He will jump into your backpack. Now, unequip your Monkey greegree, and talk to the Monkey Minder, who gets you out of the cage.

23. Go back to the Grand Tree, but do not teleport or use the tree spirits; your monkey will disappear if you do so. Head back to the Ape Atoll again, be sure to wear the Monkey greegree, and go to Awowogei. You won’t need to talk to Kruk again, just talk to the guard outside Awowogei’s house.

24. Go oustide and talk to Garkor, who shows you a cutscene. Talk to him again, and he gives you a sigil. Do not wear the sigil until you are ready to fight.

Chapter 4: The fight
25. Teleport out of the Atoll, and prepare for the fight a level 195 Jungle demon. Here are some tips:
• A cannon is effective against the demon.
• Have two 4-dose prayer potions, and one 4-dose antipoison potion.
• Use ranged or magic - not melee. Let the gnomes to the job when you fight the demon, and attack the demon at distance!
• Use protect from magic when fighting it. If you’re not close to the demon and you use protect from magic, it won’t hit you.
• Have at least one kind of teleport that you can activate in one click - just in case.
• You do not need an amulet - the 10th squad sigil must be worn and counts as an amulet.
• You can go outside the “arena”, where the demon can’t hit you, and the gnomes can attack the demon while you’re just waiting. However, you are the one who has to kill the demon, so when the demon is almost dead, you have to fight it.

26. When the fight is over, talk to the gnomes, and you will be teleported to the Ape Atoll. Telport out of the Atoll, and go to King Narnode Shareen. Congratulations, you have completed the quest!

But wait, there’s more! Talk to Daero, who tells you that the training programme should hardly take any time at all to do. You can select to train on “strength and stamina”, which is strength and hitpoints, or “attack and defence”. You get 35K XP in the skills you chose, and 20K XP in the two other skills.

Runescape Woodcutting

For wood cutting you chop trees, the end.

Ok its a bit more technical than that what and where to cut what to wear what to use etc.

Woodcutting is a primary skill and you can always make money doing primary skills, so if you play for money this is a good route to start.

First of all use the best axe you can use, if you can only just afford the next level axe and you would be skint buy it it will pay for itself very quickly.

First of all to get started cut normal trees and either fletch (members) or burn (members or NON members) a good place to cut these is by the hut entrance to Edgeville dungeon by the hill giants. to get there head west out of Varrock before you come to Barbarian Village head north and look for the hut, there are loads of dead trees there and they alway re spawn by the time you have finished the last.

Cut oaks when you can, these are convenient to a bank just outside the city walls by Varrock west bank, there are 3 there but the 2 near the path re spawn quick enough to keep you going, bank, burn or fletch depending on you mood.

When you are able to cut Willows go to Draynor Village, if you are woodcutting for xp this is where you will stay until 99 there are plenty trees and it is near a bank to empty your inventory quickly, if you want cash stay here until you can cut yews.

When you can cut yews and you want cash go to Catherby head west from the bank and there are a number of trees there (If non members there are yew trees just south of Edgeville bank), chop bank and repeat, it will be slow to start with xp will increase steadily, not as quick as willows but you will build a stock of yew logs that can be sold at Seers village, at current price these sell for 300gp each.

When you can cut Magic trees there are a few trees by the legends guild, if you can use the bank at Llyeta there are 3 trees there and you can bank nearby by using the tele crystals, magic tree logs are slow but can sell for 1k each at current prices.

If you are a member you will also get birds nests falling from the trees in these nest you can get tree seeds, these can sell from 500gp for oaks to 150k for magic tree seeds and not sure the price of spirit tree seeds, you also get rings from gold to ruby, these may have some use to you but I just drop them.

If you want to maximise XP you can do the temple trekking mini game and get full lumber, it took me 3 weeks constant playing to get the jacket, if I just wood cut instead of getting this I would be nearing 99 woodcutting by now, its not worth getting for the extra wc xp but there are other rewards when temple trekking.

Any serious woodcutter should get the dragon axe as soon as possible but at about 3m current price it is well out of the reach of most new players.
