This is for member’s only construction skill. The great thing about Construction and Player owned houses is that you can design your house any way you’d like. At first, you’re limited to very basic things, such as chairs and rugs. But you’ll eventually be able to build other kinds of cool rooms, make wicked furniture, and way more interesting things to accommodate your house and your way of living.
Right-click on one of the Door Hot spots in Building Mode and a menu will appear. If you have the appropriate level, and enough money, you can build another room. Each room has specific types of “Hot spots” – this is where you can build kinds of furniture. When you build furniture, the hot spot is “filled,” so you can’t build anything else there until you remove the furniture.
Build other things. Right-click on one of the hot spots (for instance, a Chair Hot spot) and select the “Build” option.
If you are a higher level build a bigger house (this will take up more materials), this will make people like your house .
Get a high enough smithing level to be able to make steel nails and a Wood Cutting level of 15 to be able to cut oak logs. Make around 1000, and then cut or buy about 250 normal logs and 250 oak logs. Take them to the sawmill operater, along with around 30,000gp, and have them made into planks. Get building!!!
Sometimes you will also bend a nail while building furniture, so you’ll probably want to have some extra ones with you while building.
Later on, if you wish to remove an item from your house, just right-click on it and select the “Remove” option.
Items that are crossed off can’t be built (you may need a higher level, or more supplies), while yellow ones can be built.
Don’t destroy something you like because if think you can make a better one of that furniture you might not be able to.
Do you really know a lot about magic powers in Runescape? Why not use this guide to gauge your understanding. This guide will show you all the magical weapons in Runescape which will improve your magic attack. Magic is good against monsters or players who are wearing melee armor such as chainmails and platemails. Contents: Elemental/magic staves God staves Slayer staff Magic wands Miscellaneous staves Elemental/magic staves: Elemental staves are very useful because once wielded. The type of staff you wield represents what rune you do not need, therefore you can save more money. Elemental staves are commonly used for low-level Player-Killing, free servers Player-Killing and training. Battlestaves can be crafted by members with certain crafting and magic levels. They are generally more powerful in terms of melee stats such as crush attack and strength. Mystic staves are obtained by upgrading your battlestaves with Thormac the Sorcerer after completing the “Scorpion Catcher” quest and 40,000 gold pieces. The difficulty of the creatures you must kill depends on the Slayer Master. With this skill you unlock the ability to kill Slayer creatures, who commonly drop more valuable items. When you are sent to kill any regular type of monster and aren’t sure where to find it, check RuneHQ’s Monster Database. However, there are 5 sites with a concentration of the Slayer Masters’ favorite monsters, which are also listed in the Slayer Creatures Table above. Located northwest of Canifis is the Slayer Tower. This place houses Abyssal demons and other slayer creatures. it contains the darker of the slayer creatures who, appropriately, may drop black/red mystic pieces. The Priest in Peril quest is needed to access it. It is roughly northwest of Canifis and is organized much like the slayer dungeon except of course there are floors instead of hallways separating the monsters. There are also two agility shortcuts to allow quick travel between floors. Monsters here start at crawling hands and banshees on the bottom floor and end with nechyraels and abyssal demons on the top floor. The Lumbridge Swamp Dungeon is located in Lumbridge Swamps, far southeast of Draynor Village. No light sources or ropes are necessary. It is besically a long winding path with big rooms at regular intervals, each room contains a different type of slayer monster. It starts with cave crawlers and gradually processes to kurasks in order of increasing slayer level needed to kill the monsters. Two agility shortcuts allow quick travel through the dungeon. Some of the slayer monsters here drop white/gold mystic robe pieces. It helps to use the bank in Keldagrim instead of the one in Seer’s Village, it saves a tiny bit of time. Near the Golden Apple Tree in the Fremennik Province resides the entrance to the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon. The Dorgesh-Kaan South Dungeon lies deep beneath the Dorgesh-Kaan city. This dungeon leads to the Kalphite Lair. Upon completion of the Smoking Kills quest you unlock the access to the Desert Slayer Dungeon. How to Train Slayer skill Runescape Special Monster Slaying Equipment Slayer Masters Slayer is a members-only skill which allows players to kill special monsters which have better drops than ordinary creatures and cannot be harmed by players who do not have the required slayer level. Some of these slayer monsters require special equipment to kill and will either start doing large amounts of damage or refuse to die if the player is not using it. This skill is taught by five slayer masters around the RuneScape world who give players assignments for killing certain numbers of monsters. After completing an assignment, the player must return to a slayer master who will then assign them a new task. If either ordinary or slayer monsters are killed without getting an assignment for them first, the player will not receive slayer experience for killing them. The Burthorpe slayer master is the easiest and the Shilo Village slayer master the hardest. If you get an assignment you don’t like, you can go to the master in Burthorpe to get an easier one. You can’t change an assignment you get from the Burthorpe master though, so it’s not possible to keep changing until you get one you like. Each slayer master has his/her own selection of monsters to give as assignment. Higher masters give more and harder monsters. The slayer masters will assign you either normal monsters to kill or special slayer creatures The five slayer masters cater to players of different combat levels, when players start training, they will have to beg one of the masters to teach them. After this they are given a “slayer crystal” which allows them to contact the slayer master who is best suited for their combat skills. Slayer masters can be located by a yellow skull icon that appears on the map. These are the slayer masters from easiest to most difficult: Turael, location: Burthrope – The easiest of the masters, players of any combat level may approach him. He assigns small numbers of low level monsters. Very few players every get assignments from him as most will wait until they have a relatively high combat before starting the slayer skill. Mazchna, location: The bridge between Canafis and the haunted woods – Low to medium level players favour him. He assigns larger numbers of low level monsters and occasionally small numbers of more difficult creatures. He is useful because a lot of his assignments such as crawling hands or vampires can be completed close to him, allowing players to get a new assignment very quickly. The Priest in Peril quest is needed to reach him. Vannaka, location: Edgeville dungeon at the Wilderness gate (not in the Wilderness though) – He is a strong favourite among most players, he assigns large numbers of medium to hard monsters. His assignments are virtually always possible to complete with a little effort. Chaeldar, location: Zanaris at the fairy queen’s court – She requires players to have a combat level of 70 before she deals with them. Sometimes referred to as “the crazy master,” she may give large numbers of madium-hard creatures on a regular basis. Some regular assignments from her would be around 200 trolls or blue dragons. Some higher levels who get bored with Vannaka go to her, but many don’t like what they get. The Lost City quest is needed for access to Zanaris. Duradel, location: Shilo Village on the top floor of one of the houses – He requires a combat level of 100, and for a very good reason. Virtually all of his assignments are dragons or metal dragons. Only a few very daring high level players ever get assignments from him. The Shilo Village quest is needed for access to the town Slayer Monsters Slayer is a members only skill. The key to slayer is learning the enemy’s weakness and killing it accordingly. In slayer, you get an assignment from a slayer master to kill a specific number of a certain type of monster. These assignments can vary from 10 spiders to 200 iron dragons and depend a lot on which slayer master you choose. To get started on the skill, go to a slayer master and ask for an assignment. He/she will tell you what monster to kill. The slayer experience for each kill equals the monster’s hit points. If you kill it with two people, the one that does the most damage will get half the exp and the one that inflicts the final blow the other half. If you do both, or attack it on your own, you get the full exp. Also, there are various monsters that can only be assigned and killed at certain slayer levels. There are special slayer creatures which can only be killed at or above a certain slayer skill level. These monsters offer rare drops and better treasure than normal monsters. These monsters have much better drops than normal ones since they have supposedly not been hunted for centuries and have managed to hoard up loads of treasure. They all require a certain slayer level to kill and some have to be fought with special equipment. They are the only monsters that drop black and gold mystic (a type of magic armor) and armoured boots which give great defence bonuses. The most wanted of all slayer monsters are the abyssal demons which require level 85 slayer to kill and which drop abyssal whips, currently the best melee weapon in the game. 7.0 – Frequently Asked Questions Q: Does the Black Mask and Salve amulet work together? A: No, only one of them works at any time. Q: In a multi-combat zone, who will get the slayer experience when two people are fighting a monster? A: The total amount of xp is equal to the hitpoints of the monster. That amount will be split given the following criteria: Half for the one that made the most damage, Half for the one that made the hit that killed the monster. Q: Does slaying monsters give you normal combat experience? A: Yes. Q: Will I have to complete a quest to finish an assignment? A: No, A slayer master will not assign monsters that require you to have to complete a quest to attack. For example, you would not have to kill elves if you have not done the Regicide quest. Q: Does Killing the Slayer monsters give me slaying experience? A: Only if you are assigned to kill them by a Slayer master. Q: I heard the whip drop rate is declining and whips are now much harder to get. Is it worth the effort to kill Abyssal demons for whips? A: Prices are steadily declining even though it’s rumored that whip drops are constantly becoming rare. There are plenty of other ways to make quicker money. Slayer Locations Some areas of the map are devoted entirely to the slayer skill and this is where slayer monsters can be found. There are three big ones Slayer caves: Found below Lumbridge and its swamps, these require a light source in order for players to enter them. A bullseye lantern is recommended since anything else will blow out very quickly, it is also recommended to wear a spiny helmet (buy in a slayer shop) because wall beasts house at regular intervals in the caves. They can be entered through the kitchen cellar of Lumbridge castle if players have started The Lost Tribe quest and through the dungeon entrance in the swamps (players need a rope for this). The caves contain cave slimes, cave crawlers, and several sizes of frogs as well as the popular Tears of Guthix minigame. Slayer dungeon: Located east of the golden apple tree in Relekka, this area is much more organized and less dangerous than the caves. Slayer tower: This is located in Morytania for a reason,

Part 1:
Beginning the QuestStep 1
Talk to guild master, then Oziach.
Talk to the guild master and get an anti-dragon shield from Duke Horacio.
Get a maze key from the guild master.Talk to the Guild Master (in the Champions Guild) and ask about the rune plate. He will refer you to Oziach. Before leaving, use all the options available to you until Dragon Slayer is lit up in your quest listing (i.e. keep talking until you’ve started the quest). Oziach can be found north-west of Edgeville, just outside of Edgeville. Ask Oziach about the rune plate, then go on to ask him how you can be named a hero. He will tell you that you have to kill a powerful dragon named Elvarg, but the map to Crandor, the dragon’s home, was split up into three pieces.
Oziach tells you that you also need an Anti-Dragon Shield. Talk to the Guild Master again. Then, go to Lumbridge Castle; on the second floor is Duke Horacio. Ask him for a shield that will protect you from the dragons breath, and he’ll give you one for free. Go back to the Guildmaster and he then tells you where the map pieces are. Make sure you use every option when talking to him. The first map piece is in Melzar’s Maze, the Oracle has the second map piece and Wormbrain (a Goblin in Port Sarim jail) has the third. Ask the Guild Master of the Champions Guild about Melzar’s Maze and he will give you a Maze Key. You can always get another one back from him if you lose it.
Part 2:
Melzar’s MazeStep 2
Go into Melzar Maze.
Follow the progression of killing monsters to get keys.
Get the map piece from the chest.Items needed: Good Magic Defence Armour (Melzar occasionally uses Magic), Fighting Equipment, Food, Maze Key.
Melzar’s Maze is located north-west of Rimmington. Use the Maze Key that the Guild Master gave you on the door to get in. From this point onwards, you will need to use different coloured keys to move ahead. Please note you should not leave the maze at any time or else you will need to regain the keys. A map of the doors can be found here. The color of the dot is the color of the door you need to go through.
Red Key – Kill Zombie rats (Level-3) until you get one. Use the Red Key on the north-west door. Go up the ladder.
Orange Key – Kill Ghosts (Level-19) until you get one. Use the Orange Key on the second door from the north. Go up the ladder.
Yellow Key – Kill Skeletons (Level-22) until you get one. Use the Yellow Key on the western-most door. Walk along and around and go down the ladder. Keep going down all the ladders until you reach the Zombies.
Blue Key – Kill Zombies (Level-24) until you get one. Use the Blue Key on the blue door, NOT the brown one.
Magenta Key Kill Melzar the Mad (Level-43) until you get one. Melzar the Mad is a mage, so watch out for stun spells. Use the Magenta Key on the magenta door (the northern-most one). If you fear his magic attacks on your metal armour, wear dragonhide.
Green Key – Kill a Lesser Demon (Level-82) until you get one. Use the Green Key on the green northern door.
There is a chest in the next room; search it. You will find the map piece.
Climb up the ladder and exit Melzar’s Maze.
Part 3:
Oracle’s Items and WormbrainStep 3
Talk to the Oracle.
Take the 4 items to the chest.
Get the map piece.
Get the map piece from Wormbrain.Items needed: Wizard’s Mind Bomb, Silk, Lobster Pot, Unfired Bowl, 10,000GP OR Runes for Attack Spells and Telekinetic Grab OR Bow, Arrows and Runes for Telekinetic Grab.
Speak to the Oracle, south of the Black Knights Fortress on Ice Mountain (Picture). The Oracle will tell you that you need four items.
A drink used by a mage – wizard mind bomb (Falador Pub).
Worm string changed to sheet – silk (Silk Trader in Al-Kharid, Ardougne Silk Stall, or Varrock Clothes Shop).
A small crustacean cage – lobster pot (Port Sarim, talk to Gerrant).
A bowl that has not seen heat – unfired bowl (clay + water = soft clay; Use soft clay on a pottery wheel to make bowl).
Gather the required items before talking to the oracle to save time. When you have all these items go down into the Dwarven Mines (Entrance south of Oracle).
Head south and then east, and you will come to a room with a chest in it (Picture – Picture). If you have all four items you can enter by using them on the entrance. Search the chest to get the map piece.
Go to the Port Sarim Jail, just south-west of the boat to Karamja and you will see Wormbrain.
Option 1: This is where the level 33 magic comes into play. You have to Mage/Range Wormbrain and telekinetic grab the Map Piece. Members may use a halberd to kill him if they wish.
Option 2: Or you can buy the map piece from Wormbrain for 10,000gp.
Part 4:
Crandor and ElvargStep 4
Buy Lady Lumbridge from Klarense, 2000GP.
Kill Elvarg and take her head to Oziach.Items needed: 2,000GP, 3 Planks, 90 Steel Nails, Hammer, Food, Combat Gear (don’t forget your Anti-Dragon Shield!).
Now that you have all three map pieces, put the map together by using the pieces with one another. Go back to the Champion’s Guild and speak to the guild master. He will tell you that you must find Klarense. Head to Port Sarim’s docks and search for Lady Lumbridge (dock before southern-most dock). Buy the ship from Klarense for 2,000gp. You’ll need to use all the options with Klarense as well. You discover that it’s damaged; to repair it, you need three planks, 90 steel nails and a hammer.
Go to the bank in Draynor Village and withdraw your supplies to kill Elvarg. Some items you will need include: a strength potion, food (swordfish or lobsters), armour, a one-handed weapon, and an anti-dragon shield. While you’re here, tell Ned in a house north of the Bank that you have all the map pieces – he will be waiting for you back at the docks to sail you off to Crandor. Head back to Lady Lumbridge.
When you arrive at Crandor the ship will smash on the rocks. Leave the ship from the bottom level. There are aggressive Skeletons, King scorpions, Hobgoblins, Lesser Demons and Moss Giants on Crandor.
Now make your way to the center of the island and climb down the crevice. Elvarg is found in a cage just by the level 45 Skeletons. Don’t linger on the outside, or you might find yourself wasting food.
Go and push the ‘odd looking wall’ further south past the Lesser Demons so if you die, you do not need to repair the ship again. You can just sail onto Karamja and go to the dragon’s lair through the Karamja volcano.
Open the gate and go in to face Elvarg (Level-83) (Picture). Once you have defeated Elvarg, pick up her head and bring it to Oziach. To leave go south past the Lesser Demons, and leave via the concealed door. Remember to bring your anti-dragon shield!
Note: Anti-fire potions do not work on Elvarg.
Note: If you die the first time during this quest, you don’t have to get the planks and nails again. The entrance to the dragon through Karamja will open.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I try to Range/Mage, or speak to Wormbrain, and he just says “What you want?” or, “You have no reason to do that.” What do I do?
A: This happens because you have previously killed Wormbrain, and got the map piece at one point in time or another. What I suggest doing is go back to Oziach, and asking him about all of the map pieces. Then go back and try to kill Wormbrain again. If unsuccessful, try speaking to him again. If it still does not work, you can try speaking to Ned.
Q: I died to Elvarg, how do I go back to fight her?
A: If you didn’t go through the passage before fighting Elvarg, you’ll have to go back by boat. You will need to fix the boat again so gather 90 nails and 3 planks. Then go speak to Klarense and board the ship. Repair it and head back to the dragon to try again.
Q: I ran from Elvarg, how do I go back to fight her?
A: If you ran out of the concealed wall, you can go back through it saving you time and effort since you don’t have to use the boat again. If you didn’t use the wall you will need to fix the boat again so gather 90 nails and 3 planks. Then go speak to Klarense and board the ship. Repair it and head back to the dragon to try again.
Q: I lost the coloured keys!
A: The keys disintegrate when used. If you leave the maze, or take a wrong path, you will have to kill creatures to gather the keys again.
You can use any world that you like to play RuneScape (with the exception that only members can access members’ worlds), however, there are some activities players like to do in certain worlds and other activities that can only be done in certain worlds. We’ve assigned these activities to certain worlds to make it easier for you to find like-minded players.
In the world list below, the activities in white text shows those worlds we suggest for player activities – e.g. trading, minigames, rune running, etc. You don’t have to do these things in these worlds, but you might find it both easier and more enjoyable to do so – imagine a game of Castle Wars with over a thousand other people! We’ve matched these up with what players were already doing in these worlds.
For these suggested activities, if you find that the listed world is unavailable for some reason, feel free to go to any other world – you can still do these things in any world you like. If you can’t find other people doing the same things, please check the Forums; many players post threads explaining which worlds they like going to.
For those activities that can only be done in certain worlds – e.g. game features such as LootShare – we have listed these in yellow text in the Activity column of the table below.
The following list shows those worlds with suggested and dedicated activities.

If some of the suggested activities in the table above are unclear, here are a few explanations:
Group questing
RuneScape has over 120 quests, and for lots of players they’re one of the main attractions. If you enjoy working with others to solve puzzles and getting advice as you go, you might enjoy going to a group questing world to work through the quests.
House parties
Members have access to the Construction skill and can build their own houses. It’s quite common for people to celebrate achieving their goals by hosting a party in their house.
LootShare
LootShare is a game feature that can only be used in certain worlds. It is an addition to the Clan Chat system, giving you and your fellow clan members a way of distributing the drops you get from NPCs.
Party Room
The Party Room, run by Party Pete, has special facilities to help you run a party without needing a house of your own. You can request a balloon drop (filled with items you and others donate) and dancing knights, and there’s a bar upstairs if you’d like a bit of quiet while the festivities continue.
Role-playing
Many players enjoy RuneScape’s fantasy setting and engage in ‘role-playing’ to increase their enjoyment. If you’re in a role-playing world you’ll notice people speaking differently and behaving in a different way – it’s all to create an atmosphere of actually being in a fictional world, rather than playing a computer game.
Rune running
Worlds designated for ‘rune running’ are where players either stand at a Runecrafting altar or run between the altar and a bank to bring rune essence. The runecrafters normally do this as a way to get a lot of Runecrafting experience very quickly using the Assist System, while the people bringing the essence get to keep the runes. Many groups of players like to speed this up by wearing specific clothes to identify each other, so it’s a good idea to read the Forums to find out what you should be doing.
Trade
Players frequently gather in the larger cities of Falador and Varrock to trade items and resources. If you need to buy a huge quantity of basic goods or a single piece of Barrows armour, you may well find the best deals on a trade world. You can also use the Grand Exchange to trade with anyone on any world, without even needing to be logged in for your trade offers to be completed!
